RE-CLOSABLE CONTAINER
A re-closable container comprising a container body (12), a single piece metal closure and a layer of sealing compound provided on an underside of the closure. The container body and the closure have first cooperating features (14) to allow the closure to be twisted onto and off of the container body. The layer of sealing compound and a sealing surface (18) of the container body which comes into contact with the sealing compound have second cooperating features (40) which establish one or more venting passages upon rotation of the closure from a closed position. The second cooperating features comprise one or more protrusions or indents in the sealing surface and one or more corresponding indents or protrusions on the sealing compound that are radially aligned with the one or more protrusions or indents in the sealing surface when the closure is in a closed position.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PREFILLING SYRINGES
A system for filling syringes that includes a syringe filling machine. The syringe filling machine includes a syringe feeder, a syringe loader coupled with the syringe feeder, a starwheel, one or more inspection stations provided around the starwheel, a syringe filling station adjacent the starwheel, a cap feeder, a cap loader in communication with the cap feeder and adjacent the starwheel, and an ejection station adjacent the starwheel. The syringe loader is operable to receive one or more syringes and to feed the one or more syringes into the starwheel. The starwheel is operable to move the one or more syringes between the one or more inspection stations, the syringe filling station, and the cap loader.
DEVICE FOR PLACING SCREW CAPS IN CONTAINERS
A device for placing threaded lids on containers includes a holder for lids to be placed and a mechanism for retaining the lids stored in the holder. The retaining mechanism has a predetermined retaining position in which the lids stored in the holder are retained and a release position in which one of the lids stored in the holder is dispensed. The device also includes a lid positioner, which places a threaded lid on a container through a first rotation about a first axis when the positioner is in the placing position. When the position is in the receiving position, the positioner causes the retaining mechanism to change from the predetermined retaining position to the release position through rotation about the first axis.
NESTED STACK OF CAPPED BEVERAGE CONTAINERS
In one example, a stack of beverage containers comprises a first beverage container comprising a first cap secured to a first closure shoulder and a first shell with an opening on its bottom, and a second beverage container comprising a second cap secured to a second closure shoulder and a second shell with an opening on its bottom, wherein first beverage container is stacked on top of the second beverage container such that the second shell is contained at least partly within the first shell and the second cap is received within a space formed by the first closure shoulder.
Devices for capping vials useful in system and method for dispensing prescriptions
An apparatus for securing a cap on a cylindrical container includes: a stage including a receiving region for separately receiving a cap and a container; and an elevator movable upwardly away from the stage and downwardly toward the stage. The elevator includes: a carrier disposed over the stage; a capturing member on the carrier and configured to capture the cap; and at least one extendable member extending from the carrier, the at least one extendable member movable from a home position with the extendable member above a center of the cap and an engagement position with the extendable member engaging the center of the cap and urging the center of the cap downwardly relative to an outer sidewall of the cap.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REMEDYING DISTURBANCES IN A FILLING AND/OR SEALING AND/OR POST-PROCESSING INSTALLATION
The invention relates to a method and a device for handling of disturbances in a filling and/or closing and/or post-processing installation for the pharmaceutical industry using a manipulator (14), wherein a path along which the manipulator (14) is moved for collision-free handle of the disturbance is planned in such a way that travel paths of the manipulator (14) which influence a primary air supply (5) of primary packaging means and/or of components of the filling and/or closing and/or post-processing installation which are in contact with the primary packaging means are minimized. The invention further relates to a filling and/or closing and/or post-processing installation and a computer program for a filling and/or closing and/or post-processing installation.
Clamping device and clamping method
A clamping device is applied to a cover of a container and comprises a first gear plate having a first rail hole, a second gear plate having a second rail hole, a guiding plate configured between the first gear plate and the second gear plate and having a guiding slot, a first motor, a second motor and a clamp assembly. The first motor is configured to drive the first gear plate to rotate. The second motor is configured to drive the second gear plate to rotate. The clamp component of the clamp assembly is disposed in the first rail hole, the second rail hole and the guiding slot and configured to contact the cover. The first motor and the second motor drive the first gear plate and the second gear plate to rotate in opposite directions and drive the clamp component to move inwardly for clamping the cover.
System and Method for Independently Routing Vehicles and Delivering Containers and Closures to Unit Operation Systems
A system and method for independently routing vehicles and delivering containers and closures to unit operation stations are disclosed. The containers and closures can, in some cases, be transported on the same vehicle. In other cases, the containers and closures can be transported on different vehicles.
AUTOMATED ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEM FOR DISPENSING LIQUID IN A SEALED CONTAINER
The present invention is an automated liquid dispenser comprising novel mechanisms for removing a single container from a nested stack of containers, closing the bottom of the container, decapping the container, filling the container, capping the container, and dispensing the filled container to a user.
Systems for compensating for vacuum pressure changes within a plastic container
A plastic container comprises an upper portion including a finish adapted to receive a closure, a lower portion including a base, and a sidewall extending between the upper portion and the lower portion. The upper portion, the lower portion, and the sidewall define an interior volume for storing liquid contents. The plastic container further comprises a pressure panel located on the container and moveable between an initial position and an activated position. The pressure panel is located in the initial position prior to filling the container, and is moved to the activated position after filling and sealing the container. Moving the pressure panel from the initial position to the activated position reduces the internal volume of the container and creates a positive pressure inside the container. The positive pressure reinforces the sidewall. A method of processing a container is also disclosed.
