Capsule with control member
A capsule is provided for use in a machine for preparing a consumable product from capsules. The capsule includes a body that defines an interior space with an opening. Ingredients are disposed within the interior space for preparing a desired product, a portion of the ingredients being non-permanently bound into a cluster. The cluster acts as a control member for controlling a flow of fluid for a period of time within the capsule. A cover is disposed over the opening.
Glove packaging having antimicrobial barrier
A glove packaging comprises a container for holding the gloves and a barrier positioned to cover at least a portion of an opening in the container. The barrier protects the gloves from airborne particles and other materials or contaminants that may contaminate the gloves prior to removal from the packaging. The barrier also includes an antimicrobial material for protecting the gloves from microorganisms, pathogens or other materials or contaminants that come in contact with the barrier to further reduce the possibility of contamination.
Machine for packaging single use capsules for beverages
A machine for packaging single use capsules (1) for extraction or infusion beverages, such as coffee, milk, chocolate, tea, or combinations thereof, includes: a transport element (8) for transporting rigid bodies (2) of the capsules (1) and closed in a loop around movement organs (9) with vertical axis (Z9), to move the transport element (8) continuously, the transport element (8) being configured to define a plurality of seats (10) for the rigid bodies (2), arranged in succession one after the other and having a vertical development axis (Z10); a plurality of stations, arranged along an advancement path (P) followed by the transport element (8), configured to operate continuously and in phase with the transport element (8) and including: a feeding station (11) for feeding the rigid bodies (2) within the corresponding seats (10) of the transport element (8); a dosing station (12); a closing station (13); an outfeed station (14).
ANIMAL FEED COVERS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION AND USE
Methods of covering an animal feed product involve depositing in an open end of a container an animal feed. Placing a cover on an exposed surface of the feed at the open end of the container, where the cover includes a flowable coating arranged on one side of a flexible film and a rigid or semi-rigid layer bound to an opposite side of the film. The exposed surface of the feed comprises irregular surface structures due to feed components positioned at the exposed surface. A central portion of the flexible film of the placed cover conforms to the irregular surface structures at the exposed surface of the feed upon the flowable coating reaching a temperature of at least about 125 F.
RECLOSABLE PACKAGE AS WELL AS THERMOFORM PACKAGING MACHINE AND METHOD
A reclosable package, and a machine and method for making that reclosable package that includes a tray for receiving a product and a substantially horizontal edge, wherein the horizontal edge extends circumferentially on an upper side of the tray and has a clamping portion releasably connected thereto. The package includes a top film across the tray, the edge and the clamping portion, and which may be releasably connected to the edge by a first sealed seam to seal the tray in a gas-tight manner. The top film may be connected to the clamping portion by a second sealed seam. A side face of the tray may include an undercut provided with a projection, the projection being suitable for locking the clamping portion in position when the clamping portion has been detached from the edge and is located between the projection of the undercut and the side face of the tray.
Confectionery packaging and method of opening
Disclosed is a confectionery packaging for a confectionery, including a first preformed part and a second part, wherein the first and second parts are sealed together about the confectionery at flanges that extend away from a main surface of each part, each main surface substantially conforming to the shape of the confectionery and being inherently unstable when placed, in use, on a substantially flat, level surface; a portion of at least one of the flanges being arranged to, in use, contact the substantially flat, level surface when a portion of the main surface of one of the parts also contacts the substantially flat, level surface, wherein such an arrangement allows the confectionery packaging to adopt a stable orientation on the substantially flat, level surface.
Humidity-management packaging systems and methods
Packaging systems and methods are disclosed for storing a bioprosthetic device comprising a bioprosthetic tissue and maintaining a target relative humidity across a temperature range. The packaging system includes a sealed package defining an internal space having an internal volume, and a humidity control device and bioprosthetic device within the internal space. The humidity control device includes a barrier defining an enclosed space and a humidity control solution comprising glycerol in the enclosed space. At least a portion of the barrier comprises a gas-permeable membrane. The target relative humidity is provided within the internal volume of the sealed package and the control device maintains the target relative humidity across the temperature range by selectively liberating and absorbing water vapor.
Lid storage and application device
A stand-alone manually operated device for capping a filled beverage container with a lid. Lids are staged within the apparatus in a bulk storage queue and are individually transferred from a bulk storage queue and applied to a beverage container by physical contact to the application mechanism. The mechanism ensures the sealing rim of the lid is completely engaged on the beverage container without human contact on hygienic surfaces. Once the operator disengages, the mechanism automatically retracts to a resting position and the next lid is engaged.
Container systems
Container systems. Methods related to container systems.
CONTAINER PODS AND LIDS FOR GENERATING FILLED BEVERAGE PODS FOR USE IN SINGLE SERVE BEVERAGE BREWING MACHINES
The present disclosure relates to container pods and associated lids for filling with beverage materials for use in single serving beverage brewers. Such pods and lids have complementary features that provide benefits when used with beverage material filling machines. The pods and lids may be nested for storage and/or use in beverage pod filling devices.
