LID APPLICATOR SYSTEM
A lid applicator has a main body that receives a conveyor. Containers are placed on the conveyor, and lids are loaded into a chute in the lid applicator. As the containers move towards the lid applicator, the rim of the container contacts the lip of the lid that is being advanced downwardly and at an angle by a plurality of worm screws of the main body. The forward momentum of the container on the conveyor carries the lid away from worm screws, and forms a loose contact between the lid and container. The container and lid then pass under a platform of the main body with a flat surface, fully sealing the lid onto the container. As a next container approaches the chute, a sensor on the main body sends a signal causing the worm screws to dispense another lid at an angle to receive the next container.
MACHINE FOR PRODUCING CAPSULES CONTAINING A PRODUCT TO BE MIXED WITH A LIQUID, IN PARTICULAR BY MEANS OF A PERCOLATOR DEVICE
The machine (1) in question comprises a dispensing module (6) and a unit (9) for applying lids (3).
According to the invention, the machine (I) comprises: a rotary plate (5) having cavities (12); a unit (7) for delivering shells (2) of capsules to a cavity (12), comprising a storage magazine (15) for storing the shells (2) stacked together, and a sub-assembly (20-24) for delivering shells (2) one by one to the plate (5), by gravity; a unit (8) for filling a shell (2) with product, comprising a funnel (16) facing which an empty shell (2) placed in a cavity (12) of the plate (5) is positioned by rotating said plate (5).
LIDDING MACHINE AND METHOD
A lidding machine with a conveyor 7 for conveying containers and a set of jaws 11 positioned at opposite sides respectively of the containers. The jaws move towards and each other over the conveyor and upwards away from the conveyor to lift one or more containers 22 off the conveyor and urge each container into contact with a lid 23 supported over the conveyor by a picking head 19 arranged to move on a rotating support 21 to transport lids between a lid magazine 16 and a position where lids and containers can be fitted together.
Extension device for the neck of a container formed in a machine for forming containers from preforms
A method for producing a container from a preform having a body and a neck defining an inner cylindrical opening. The method including the steps of placing the preform in a mold having a molding cavity, forming the container by injecting a forming fluid into the preform, and filling the container with a liquid. Prior to forming of the container, an extension device is attached to the neck of the preform. The extension device includes an extension part defining an inner opening extending in the continuity of the inner opening of the neck. The extension device remaining attached to the neck of the preform at least during the forming and the filling steps.
Process for making a capsule containing a dosing agent
A capsule is provided containing a dosing agent and a system and process is provided for making capsules containing a dosing agent. The capsule includes a body defining an interior space and an opening, the capsule having ingredients and a dosing agent disposed in the interior space and a cover to seal the opening. The process and system includes depositing ingredients and the dosing agent in the interior space of the capsule and then covering the opening.
Container construction for powdered material
A packaging for a powdered material includes a tub for receiving the material, the tub having a base and a peripheral wall with a top edge; an outer sleeve around at least the peripheral wall of the tub, thereby supporting the tub; a removable membrane for separating the powdered material in the tub from the environment; and a lid assembly having a peripheral rim for connection over the top edge of the peripheral wall of the tub and defining a wide access opening and a lid, hingedly attached to the rim for reclosing the access opening. A method of manufacturing such a package for a powdered material includes sliding the tub in the sleeve, such that at least the peripheral wall of the tub is enclosed by the sleeve, whereby sleeve supports the tub and the tub and sleeve form a container for the powdered material.
Portion capsule and use of same for producing a beverage
The invention relates to a portion capsule for producing a beverage, including a capsule body, which has a capsule bottom and a lid, wherein a cavity for accommodating a powdery or liquid beverage Substrate is formed between the capsule bottom and the lid and wherein a filter element is arranged in the cavity. The invention further relates to a method for producing a portion capsule and the use of the portion capsule to produce a beverage.
Lid for Containers and Related Methods
A lid designed to allow a user to see and adjust the humidity levels of a container through the use of a hygrometer and pocket for humidity packs. The lid also allows this to be accomplished without removing the lid because a hatch gives the user access to the inside of the container and underside of the lid, where the pocket is located. Also, the hatch on the lid provides a more efficient and easier method of accessing the contents of a container because a user can simply open and close a hatch, instead of needing to unlock a lever locking latch to remove a lid.
Storage Container
A container that includes a container body and a securely attached container lid. The container lid can form an airtight and/or liquidtight seal between the container lid and the container body when the container lid is in the fully closed position and locked position. The container lid is attached to the container body by a hinge. The container lid includes a seal member, cover window portion, and an outer rim portion having a plurality of lid latches. The latches are configured for movement between an unlatched position in which the container contents can be accessed and a latched position in which latch features engage fastening members to secure the container lid in the fully closed and locked position to the container body.
