The present technology is directed to an apparatus for freeze-drying various items. The apparatus described herein includes a reusable sealable container enabling aseptic handling of bulk processed materials. The multi-use tray enables a sterile sealable enclosure for use throughout the freeze-drying process, including: pre-freeze-drying (e.g., filling, handling, storage, transfer), freeze-drying processing, and/or post-freeze-drying (e.g., handling and storage).
AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR ATTACHING A LID TO A BASE PORTION
The present invention relates to an apparatus (1) and a method for attaching a lid (103) to a base portion (102). The lid and the base portion form parts of a container, such as a user container (101) for a pouched product for oral use. The apparatus (1) comprises a support (3), a base portion feeder (5), adapted to place a base portion on the support, a 5 lid positioner (7) comprising a lid holder (9), and a mover (11), adapted to move the base portion and the lid as a combined unit (109) in a travel direction (TD). The lid positioner is movable between a lid pick-up position and a lid attachment position, the lid holder in the lid pick-up position of the lid positioner being adapted to pick up the lid. The lid holder has a front portion (19) and a rear portion (17) as seen in the travel direction hen the lid 10 positioner is in the attachment position. The lid holder is, in the attachment position of the lid positioner, adapted to hold the lid in a predefinable position in relation to the base portion by the lid holder assuming an angle (α) in relation to the support, with the front portion of the lid holder being located closer to the support than the rear portion of the lid holder. The mover is adapted to move the combined unit in the travel direction from the 15 rear portion towards the front portion of the lid holder.
BIODEGRADABLE CAPSULES
The present invention relates to the field of single-use closed capsules biodegradable by industrial composting and by domestic composting, containing at least one substance in powder form for the preparation of a drink, e.g. coffee, intended for being extracted under pressure, said capsule including a container with a bottom and a side wall having a circular rim, and a seal welded on the circumference of the rim of the container, characterized in that the bottom, the side wall and the circular rim are formed by injection molding of at least one formulation comprising: (i) at least one polymer chosen from polyhydroxybutyrates, and (ii) at least one ingredient chosen from silicates, vitamin E, plasticized proteins of animal or plant origin, or mixtures thereof.
Convertible closure system for custom dispensing of prescription pharmaceuticals
A pharmaceutical storing and dispensing device including a child resistant mode and a non-child resistant mode between the container and the closure. The closure comprises a non-child resistant cap shaped to removably engage the container and a child-resistant cap shaped to be permanently fixed to the non-resistant cap. The non-child resistant cap and child resistant cap are provided in intentionally varying quantities such that the quantity of the child resistant caps is less than the quantity of the non-child resistant caps.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEALING AN OPEN END OF A COMPONENT
Disclosed is a system for sealing an open end of a component. The system includes an application station. The application station includes a base with a working surface; a seal arranged above the working surface of the base; a component coupler configured to selectively engage the open end of the component with the seal; and a securing mechanism. Additionally, the component coupler is further configured to selectively form a hermetic engagement between the seal and the open end of the component in response to a compressive force acting between the base and the component coupler. The securing mechanism includes a base attachment secured relative to the base and a component coupler attachment secured relative to the component coupler. The base attachment and the component coupler attachment of the securing mechanism are configured to selectively engage such that the compressive force acts between the base and the component coupler.
TAMPER-EVIDENT SEALS FOR CONTAINERS
A tamper-evident seal for use with a container includes a body that is sealably coupled to a boundary defining an opening providing access into the container. The seal includes a gripping portion having a fixed end and a free end, the fixed end extending from the body, wherein the free end is sized and shaped to be gripped by a user to enable the user to forcibly disconnect at least a portion of the body from the container. The seal further includes an indicator including an indicator body, a neck portion of the indicator is removably coupled to the gripping portion, such that when the body is at least partially removed from the boundary, at least a portion of the indicator body remains connected to the body, as the gripping portion is disconnected from the indicator when the neck portion is uncoupled from the gripping portion.
Methods for manufacturing an aerosol product
An aerosol product comprising an aerosol container comprising a container body and an aerosol valve fixed to an opening of the container body, and an aqueous concentrate and a propellant being filled in the aerosol container, wherein the aqueous concentrate comprises an active ingredient having reactivity with oxygen, and an inert ingredient is present in at least a part of an injection passage of the aerosol valve, even though the aqueous concentrate comprising an active ingredient having reactivity with oxygen is filled, oxidation of the active ingredient is inhibited in the aerosol valve, and an aerosol product that can be stored stably for a long period of time and a method for manufacturing the same can be provided.
Device and method for atmosphere modification in a container during the sealing process
A method for atmosphere modification in a container during the sealing process that includes deploying a closure head on the container so as to enclose at least the container-opening and create an air-tight seal such that an interior volume of the closure head is isolated from the ambient atmosphere.
