AUTOMATED PACKAGING STATION AND SYSTEM FOR PACKAGING OBJECTS

An automated packaging station is capable of being used to package objects. The automated packaging station includes a supply of web material, a surface (202), an aperture (206) therein, and a closing system. The automated packaging station is configured to form the web material into a pouch. The aperture (206) is configured such that an object can be inserted therethrough. The automated packaging station is configured to bias open the pouch beneath the surface such that the object inserted through the aperture falls into the pouch. The closing system is configured to close the pouch to form a package around the object in response to the object being inserted through the aperture. The object is capable of being shipped to a recipient in the package.

Defect prevention for flexible container sealing systems

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for defect prevention for flexible container sealing systems. In one embodiment, an example flexible container sealing system may include a first camera configured to image an item disposed in a flexible container, a laser system configured to detect presence of items, a cutting assembly configured to cut a material that forms the flexible container, a sealing assembly configured to seal one or more ends of the flexible container, and a computer system configured to determine, using the first camera, a height of the item disposed in the flexible container.

Packaging apparatus with package dividing seal mechanism

Packaging apparatuses for loading and sealing products into a web of interconnected bags, and methods of using them, are provided. In one aspect, the packaging apparatus includes an intermittently advancing web conveyor that also indexes vertically to facilitate stacked loading of products into the bags. In another aspect, the packaging apparatus includes a dividing seal station that applies a center seal dividing the bag into separate sealed subcompartments, some of the bag contents being distributed to each compartment, such as one of two trays to each subcompartment. To facilitate distribution of contents and even sealing, the dividing seal station may include a dividing sealer lower support that oscillates vertically to promote settling of contents and gases in the bag before applying a dividing seal.

CONVEYOR AND MEDICINE INSPECTION SUPPORT SYSTEM

A conveyor capable of detecting a cut line of portion packaging bags, and a medicine inspection support system are provided. The conveyor conveys the portion packaging bags to an inspecting machine, the portion packaging bags being divided one by one with use of a heat seal portion and perforations by a portion packaging machine and being continuously discharged in a longitudinal posture from the portion packaging machine. The conveyor includes a posture changing device configured to change the longitudinal posture of the portion packaging bags to a lateral posture; and a detector configured to detect a cut line of the portion packaging bags.
