SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WRAPPING LOADS OF GOODS WITH TUBULAR STRETCH FILM
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems including stretch-hood machines configured to vertically and horizontally apply tubular stretch film to loads of goods and to methods for wrapping loads of goods with multiple segments of tubular stretch film.
GRIPPER
The present invention concerns a device and method for reefing a portion of tubular film, the reefing device having at least one reefing finger and at least one drive unit. The drive unit has advancing means, which, for reefing the portion of tubular film, is brought into operative connection with the reefing finger at least at the height of a point of engagement, while enclosing the portion of tubular film, and moves the portion of tubular film in relation to the reefing finger. The device according to the invention and the method according to the invention are distinguished in particular in that the position of the at least one point of engagement can be changed along the reefing finger as reefing progresses or the position of the point of engagement on the reefing finger is changed.
DEVICE FOR WRAPPING A STACK OF GOODS WITH A TUBULAR HOOD AND METHOD FOR CHANGING THE TUBULAR FILM STOCK IN AN APPROPRIATE DEVICE
The present invention relates to a device for wrapping a piece item stack, which is formed of a plurality of piece item parts that are disposed on top of one another, with a tubular film, wherein the device has a tubular film stock, a conveyor device for pulling a predetermined length of tubular film out of the tubular film stock, a cutting device for cutting the pulled-off tubular film for the formation of a tubular hood and a fitting device, which is arranged downstream of the cutting device in the conveying direction of the tubular film, for pulling the tubular hood over the piece item stack, as well as a method for changing the tubular film stock in such a device. For enhanced safety and guarantee of a disturbance-free operation, a discharge device, which can discharge a length piece (L) of the tubular film, is proposed with the present invention as a part of the device for wrapping the piece item stack. In the method for changing the tubular film stock according to the invention, a lagging end of a consumed tubular film stock is connected to the leading end of a new tubular film stock, wherein the leading end and the lagging end are conveyed in the direction onto the cutting device in order to laterally discharge a length section (L) that bears the leading and the lagging end on top of an intake area for the piece item stack.
Apparatus for packaging an object with a tubular film
An apparatus for packaging an object with a tubular film, includes: a main frame, a stretch frame for stretching the tubular film and for applying the tubular film to the object, and a top frame having a feeding device for delivering a tubular film from a film magazine to the stretch frame and having a cutting device to cut the tubular film to a predetermined length. The top frame is moveable at the main frame between a working position and a maintenance position. In the maintenance position the top frame is located outside the work space.
Transporting device for pressed bales
A packaging apparatus for compressed pressed bales (25) is designed to apply a bale packaging (32) to the pressed bale (25) and has a transporting device (5), which is designed to remove a compressed pressed bale (25) from a press (3, 3). The transporting device (5) has a movable bale receptacle (6) for picking up the compressed pressed bale (25) on two opposite sides, wherein the bale receptacle has several elongated support elements (20) arranged at a distance from one another on each of the areas intended to retain the pressed bale.
METHOD FOR CREATING AT LEAST ONE CLEARANCE IN A SHEATHING THAT CONSISTS OF SHRINK FILM AND SECURES A STACK OF ITEMS ARRANGED ON A PALLET, AND SHAPING APPARATUS FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD
A method for creating at least one clearance in a sheathing consists of shrink film and secures a stack of items arranged on a pallet. The pallet has a top standing surface for the stack of items and a plurality of spaced bottom legs forming leg clearances. The sheathing engages under the legs in the region of the four outer edges of the pallet. At least one clearance is introduced into the sheathing region located between two legs. At least one clearance is intended to be created such that the sheathing region is first of all pulled away from the pallet in the still-hot state and is subsequently displaced upwards in the still-hot state, wherein the upwardly displaced sheathing region is then fixed in its upwardly displaced position by cooling. The invention also relates to a shaping apparatus for carrying out the method.
MACHINE FOR THE WRAPPING OF PALLETS
A machine for the wrapping of pallets (P) by means of a stretchable film cap, comprising: a main frame (1) which defines a working area (A) of the machine; a traction device (2), predisposed for lowering the film cap and for fitting it onto the pallet (P); a feeder device (3) arranged to feed the film to the traction device (2); a cutting and welding device (4) of the film, arranged to cut and weld the film so as to obtain a cap closed at one end thereof;
in which the feeder device (3) is movable along the frame (1) between an operating position, located superiorly to the main frame (1), and a service position, in which said feeder device is located at a given height from the ground, on one side of the main frame (1).
The feeder device (3) is movable on an outside area of the main frame (1) and, when switching from the operating position to the service position, the feeder device (3) is maintained externally of the main frame (1), without cluttering the working area (A).
Stretch-hood machine with film-evaluation feature
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a stretch-hood machine configured to determine one or more measured performance parameters of a roll of a particular type of film and to determine whether the measured performance parameters are consistent with one or more corresponding baseline performance parameters for that type of film.
Method for assembling a foldably constructed pallet
A method of assembling a pallet using a machine includes folding a first portion of a pallet support column to define a vertical support structure. The method further includes folding a second portion of the pallet support column to engage the vertical support structure. The method further includes gluing at least a portion of the second portion to the first portion. The method further includes coupling the pallet support column to at least one of a bottom member or a top member of the pallet.
