The rotating push plate mechanism includes a rotating push plate, a first driving mechanism and a food passage. The food passage is in communication with an outlet of the food storage chamber, and the rotating push plate is rotatably installed inside the food passage. The first driving mechanism is configured to drive the rotating push plate to rotate. The food passage includes an outlet segment and a hitting cavity, and the outlet segment is tangent to the hitting cavity. The hitting cavity is in communication with the outlet of the food storage chamber. The rotating push plate is rotatably installed in the hitting cavity.
Food delivery and feeding system
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for a food delivery and feeding. An apparatus may comprise: a housing, the housing comprising a housing outlet; and a storage compartment contained within the housing the storage compartment configured to store a plurality of food items for feeding one or more pets. The storage compartment may comprise a storage compartment outlet and two rotatable wheels. The apparatus may also comprise an ejection device contained within the housing. The ejection device may be configured to eject one or more of the plurality of food items. Rotation of the two rotatable wheels causes the one or more of the plurality of food items to move from the storage compartment through the storage compartment outlet to the ejection device.
Training apparatus and method for feeding animals during training sessions for reinforcement of behaviors
One variation of a method for selectively serving primary reinforcers to an animal includes: accessing a set of characteristics of an animal and estimating a target caloric intake of the animal based on the set of characteristics; identifying a type of primary reinforcer loaded into a training apparatus configured to dispense units of the primary reinforcer based on behaviors performed by the animal responsive to commands output by the training apparatus; in response to identifying the type of primary reinforcer as a first primary reinforcer, loading a first nutrient profile for the first primary reinforcer; and, in response to the first nutrient profile specifying a first caloric density of units of the first primary reinforcer, loading a first training protocol for a first training session for the animal onto the training apparatus based on the target caloric intake of the animal.
Pet feeder
A pet feeder for automatic and timely provision of food to household pets includes a housing containing one or more types of pet food. The pet feeder includes a feeding tray operably coupled to a base, the feeding tray defines at least one pet food feeding zone located outside the housing; and a food tank positioned in the housing, the food tank defines a plurality of food compartments. At least one rotary valve is disposed at the bottom of the food tank; and a first electric actuator is mounted on the housing and engaged to the rotary valve, the first electric actuator drives the rotary valve to open only one food compartment at a time, to allow food of the only one food compartment to unload downwardly to the feeding tray. A food pusher can move the pet food into the feeding tray accessible to a pet.
Food Delivery and Feeding System
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for a food delivery and feeding. An apparatus may comprise: a base; an ejection device configured to eject, via a food outlet on the apparatus, one or more of a plurality of food items; and a rotation device operably mounted to the ejection device. The rotation device may be configured to rotate the ejection device relative the base to cause a change to a direction of ejection of the one or more of the plurality of food items relative to the base. The rotation device may comprise a motor and a ring gear. The motor may be connected to the ring gear. The ring gear may be connected to a bracket assembly. The rotation of the bracket assembly may cause the rotation of the ejection device.
HOME CAGE PROGRAMMABLE ACCESS CONTROL DEVICE
An apparatus comprising at least one access controller device 100, comprising: a controller 104 configured to deliver access signals according to an access schedule based on data entered into the controller by an operator; and a movable barrier 108 configured to be positioned in a home cage 102 between a storage area 116 and a living area 114 and configured to be movable between an access position 112 where there is unrestricted access to an item in the food storage area from the living area and a restricted position 110 where the access is denied. The movable barrier is moved between the access position and the restricted position in response to the access signals. The movable barrier is configured to fit entirely within the home cage and a food hopper of the home cage without making any modifications to the home cage or the food hopper.
AUTOMATIC FEEDER WITH ADJUSTABLE RATIONING FOR MULTIPLE ANIMALS
Techniques for automatic feeder apparatuses with adjustable rationing for multiple animals are disclosed herein. An example apparatus may include a hopper and a feeder housing. The feeder housing may include a first portion that is coupled to the hopper. The first portion may include a motor assembly that is configured to distribute contents stored within the hopper. The feeder housing may also include a second portion that is disposed below the first portion. The second portion may include at least a first compartment and a second compartment. Additionally, the second portion may include an interior panel that separates the first compartment and the second compartment. The interior panel may be configured to translate between a first side and a second side of the feeder housing to adjust a first volume of the contents received by the first compartment and a second volume of the contents received by the second compartment.
NETWORKED WEIGHT SCALE FOR SMART ORDERING
A system is described including a scale device for measuring weight of a food container, wherein one or more applications run on at least one processor of the scale device and are configured to detect weight of the food container and its contents using the scale device. The one of more applications are configured to detect a first weight measurement of the food container, wherein the first weight measurement includes weight of the food container and a first amount of food, to detect a second weight measurement of the food container, wherein the second weight measurement includes the weight of the food container, the first amount of food, and a second amount of food, wherein the second weight measurement is an updated weight measurement of the food container, to subsequently log weight measurements of the food container at time intervals, and to intermittently adjust and monitor the updated weight measurement.
