A pet watering fountain includes a bowl having a wall extending to a floor. The floor includes a lower area defining a sump with a sump floor. The sump floor has a height lower than the height of the surrounding portion of the floor. The housing divides the basin into a drinking basin and an interior basin. The drinking basin is accessible to an animal while the interior basin is located behind and underneath the housing and is not accessible to the animal. The pump has an inlet plate with inlet openings located near the bottom of the pump below the level of the bowl floor surrounding portion so that the bowl floor surrounding portion may be devoid of water yet the pump may still have enough water to keep it pumping and prevent it from overheating due to the water within the sump above the inlet openings.

A flow-controlled pet watering fountain and method of use, thereof, is disclosed. The watering fountain utilizes a pump to direct water up a lift pipe and into a reservoir, whereupon the drinking water falls gravitationally into a drinking basin. Further, the watering fountain allows for control of water flow by selectively opening and closing a flow control valve that is located above the pump and along the water lift pipe. In its open position, the flow control valve allows water to fall back into an interior basin by diverting the flow of water into a return pipe. This arrangement helps prevent premature failure of the pump by allowing the pump to run under substantially the same load and without reducing the total water cycles through the filters. The watering device also allows the water flow from the spout to be completely turned off.

A feed lift for pet food includes a platform that is configured to receive feeding bowls and can be moved in the vertical direction. A drive moves the platform along two stationary guide elements that extend vertically upward from a base. Drive forces are introduced to the platform by a toothed belt at lateral edges of the platform. The toothed belt is driven by a central motor and avoids misalignments of the platform, tilting, and uneven running. The toothed belt allows precise control of the platform and the location of the motor in the base improves stability of the feed lift.

A water supply tube extends from an exterior of the bowl to an interior thereof. The water supply tube includes a connector thereon that is configured to removably receive a water supply line. The water supply tube includes a float valve, having a float that is disposed within the bowl. When the water level in the bowl drops below a certain level the change in position of the float causes the float valve to open so that water from the water supply line flows through the water supply tube and into the bowl.

A pet water dispenser comprises an integrally formed housing, whose bottom is provided with a water inlet, and a water outlet is provided on a peripheral side of the housing. The housing is provided with a water pump module and a power supply module that are electrically connected to each other. The water pump module is configured to pump liquid from the water inlet to the water outlet. The water pump module and the power supply module are installed within the integrally formed housing. This configuration is convenient for users to clean the housing, saves splicing steps of the water pump module and the power supply module, eliminates connection structure between the two and reduces probability of water infiltration on the housing to improve waterproof performance of the pet water dispenser.
