System and method for controlling fluid distribution in a water basin
A system and method are provided that can detect the presence of a user such as a mammal (e.g., a horse), and fill a water basin to enable the user to consume the water. The system can detect consumption of the water in the basin and refill one or more times. After detecting that the user is no longer in the vicinity, any remaining water can be drained from the basin. In addition to detecting the presence of the user, an ID can be associated with certain users of the system to track water consumption and other metrics. This data can be gathered, stored, and provided to a server or service (e.g., in the cloud) to enable data to be logged, processed, analyzed and alerts, reports and notifications provided to entities that monitor the users, e.g., to track hydration of the users.

Animal watering valve
An animal watering valve preferably includes a valve body, a valve stem, a retention plug, a stem o-ring and a compression spring. A valve bore is formed in the one end of the valve body to receive the valve stem. A plug bore is formed in the opposing end of the valve body. The valve stem preferably includes a sealing base, an actuation end, a plug end and a spring flange. An o-ring groove is formed in the sealing base to receive the stem o-ring. The retention plug preferably includes a threaded portion, a rotation flange and a stem portion. A stem bore is formed through the retention plug. The stem bore is sized to loosely receive the plug end of the valve stem. The plug end is inserted into the compression spring. The retention plug is threaded into the plug bore to retain the valve stem.

SENSOR ACTIVATED DOG WATERING STATION
An apparatus provides a watering station dispensing clean drinking water for dogs and other animals. The water is dispensed once the apparatus detects the presence of the animal. A solenoid valve regulates water flow in accordance with signals from the sensor. The water is fed to one or more water outlets either along a surface of the bowl or elsewhere along the housing of the watering station. The water is received from an incoming water supply line, which may be connected to a fresh water line within the dog owner's house or other building. The watering station may be installed in the owner's bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, outside, etc. Any water not consumed flows by gravity down a drain and can be disposed of through a wastewater line. This effectively eliminates standing water in the bowl. Various sizes of the watering station can accommodate different sized pets or other animals.

Device and method for administering oral disinfecting solutions and other medicaments
Embodiments of the present invention feature devices and methods for administering medicaments to subjects and, in particular, molecular iodine to animals in drinking water for the treatment of oral bad breath and disease. An exemplary device comprises a source of medicament in a fluid, measuring means, an administration switch and a water reservoir means. The measuring means is in fluid communication with said source of medicament for measuring an aliquot of medicament corresponding to a dose for the treatment of a disease. The measuring means is also in communication with a water reservoir means and releases the aliquot into the water reservoir means upon signal activation. The administration switch means is in signal communication with the measuring means and upon activation by a subject produces an activation signal received by the measuring means. The water reservoir means is for receiving the aliquot and forming an aqueous solution of medicament.
