IDENTIFICATION EAR TAG FOR ANIMALS, COMPRISING A PART INCORPORATING A PART OF A UHF IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM AND A PART CONFIGURED TO PRESS AND KEEP THE UHF PART APPLIED AGAINST AN EAR OF THE ANIMAL
The invention includes an electronic animal tag of two pieces, one incorporating the UHF, and preferably RFID, electronic identification portion, the other incorporating means that will press the UHF portion against the ear of an animal and keep it pressed there throughout its lifetime.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF LIVESTOCK MANAGEMENT
A system and method of livestock management comprising a device disposed in a livestock animal. The device comprises a network interface, a housing defining a cavity, a weighted element, a power supply, a data processing unit, a temperature sensor and an accelerometer. The temperature sensor acquires temperature data of the livestock animal. The accelerometer acquires movement data of the livestock animal. The cavity includes a data processing system having at least one processor and memory. The data processing system is coupled with the power source and communicatively coupled with the temperature sensor and the accelerometer. The data processing system transmits, via the network interface, temperature data and movement data. The cavity includes an activation receiver to receive activation signal to activate the data processing system. A livestock management server receives and analyzes the data, along with any data from any additional data sources, and provides output to a user interface.
System and method for coupled work tool identification
A work tool identification system for identifying the work tool attachment attached to a machine from among a plurality of interchangeable work tool attachments utilizes a data transmission device located on the work tool attachment and an electronic machine controller that may be located on the machine. The data transmission device may store work tool identification data and may measure an interval count indicative of the lapsed time since the work tool attachment was initially moved by a machine. The electronic machine controller generates and sorts a work tool identification list of the plurality of work tool attachments based on the interval count with the lowest interval count appearing before any higher interval counts that is indicative of a recently coupled work tool.
Energy-saving label for attachment to an animal
A label is described for attachment to an animal. The label includes a transmitting and receiving device having an electric oscillator circuit that, upon closure of the oscillator circuit, generates a periodic electric oscillator signal with an oscillation period for transmitting an electromagnetic beacon signal with the transmitting and receiving device. The label is configured for closing the electric oscillator circuit during a predetermined transmission duration, and is further configured for opening the electric oscillator circuit upon elapse of the predetermined transmission duration, wherein the predetermined transmission duration corresponds to at least one and at least a whole number of oscillation periods of the electric oscillator signal.
Livestock tracing system and method
The present invention discloses a livestock tracing system and method. The system includes: a feeding module, an adopting and purchasing module, a weighing module, a server, a first commutation module and a second communication module; the feeding module is configured to provide food intake information of livestock and transmit the food intake information to the server via the first communication module; the weighing module is configured to provide weight information of the livestock and transmit the weight information to the server via the second communication module; the adopting and purchasing module is configured to provide vaccine information of the livestock and transmit the vaccine information to the server; and the server is configured to store the food intake information, the weight information and the vaccine information, and obtain corresponding tracing information according to a tracing look-up instruction.
Animal tag system
Apparatus for managing animals such as but not limited to livestock. In some embodiments, an ear tag assembly has a tag, a backing member and an elongated shaft assembly configured to pierce and extend through an outer ear (auricle) of the animal. A first temperature sensor is disposed within the shaft assembly to obtain an ear temperature measurement of the animal. A second temperature sensor obtains an ambient temperature measurement adjacent the animal. A control circuit accumulates temperature data from the first and second temperature sensors in a tag memory for subsequent transfer, via a wireless communication network, to a data collection unit. Additional sensors may be utilized. In some cases, the backing member may house a battery to power the control circuit. The backing member may be removably attachable to the shaft to allow replacement of the battery.
An Animal Tag
an animal tag comprising: a one-piece animal tag retaining member made of molded material, having: a first part comprising a female opening connectable to a male member for coupling the animal tag to a body part of an animal; a second part configured to accommodate one or more electronical components capable of obtaining information relating to the animal to which the animal tag is coupled; an intermediate part, located between the first tag part and the second tag part, having a form of a latitudinal recess for enhancing a flexibility of the animal tag.
Animal Wellness Monitoring Systems and Methods
An animal management system for monitoring a plurality of animals over time includes a data management subsystem and a data acquisition subsystem, which includes RF asset tags. The data acquisition acquires data concerning the animals and efficiently provides it to aspects of the system for processing. The data may also include information from an environment data acquisition subsystem. The data management subsystem determines current wellness scores for each animal of a group of animals and a period wellness score for each animal over a larger period of time. Alerts may be sent went data shows an animal outside of threshold values. Other embodiments are presented.
ANTENNA FOR IDENTIFICATION TAG AND IDENTIFICATION TAG WITH ANTENNA
Disclosed is an ultra high frequency antenna device for use with an identification tag for attachment to an animal. The antenna device comprises: a meander line antenna; and a substrate. The antenna device is operable to use the body of the animal to which it is attached as part of the tuning circuit of said antenna device. Also disclosed is an ultra-high frequency identification tag comprising such an antenna device, and a method of manufacturing such an ultra-high frequency identification tag.
