Packing apparatus
A packing apparatus includes a sealing mechanism, a timing sensing section, and a control section. The sealing mechanism affixes tape continuously on portions of a cardboard box transported with major flaps thereof folded. The sealing mechanism includes an affixing roller to press the tape against a first side surface and the major flaps. The timing sensing section senses the timing at which the affixing of the tape on the first side surface is initiated. The control section controls pressing force exerted by the affixing roller, based on a result of the sensing performed by the timing sensing section, in such a way that the pressing force is reduced after the affixing of the tape on the first side surface is initiated.
Folding device, packaging facility for articles, and method for folding side flaps of external cardboard packagings
The invention relates to a folding device (10) for transporting an outer cardboard package (20) having folding lines and for folding at least one side flap (21) of the outer cardboard package (20). The folding device (10) comprises at least one conveyor system with a guiding unit (11) and with at least two transporting and folding shuttles (30) disposed on the guiding unit (11) for the transport of the outer cardboard packages (20) in a transport direction (TR). The at least two shuttles (30) are disposed in a row at the conveyor system and are transported in a transport direction (TR) through and/or by the conveyor system. Each shuttle (30) comprises its own, individually controllable drive (32) and further at least one folding unit (35) for folding over at least one side flap (21) of an outer cardboard package (20).
Method and machine for closing square or rectangular cross-section boxes by reducing the height of same to that of the contents thereof
Method and machine for reducing the height of a box without removing a section of the material of the box and without the use of any cutting tool whatsoever, but by folding high sections of side walls towards the centre of the box. The method includes: breaking the connections between the side walls along the upper section of the vertical ridges of the box, from the height of the vertical walls of the box to the level of the top of the stack of objects previously positioned in the box, by exerting a force, directed towards the exterior of the box, on the high section of at least two of the side walls; simultaneously folding towards the exterior the high sections on which force is exerted; then folding all the high sections towards the interior of the box, in order to bring the side walls into a substantially horizontal plane.
Soft pack tape applicator
A tape applicator for applying tape to seal a case is disclosed wherein the pressure applied to the top of the case may be significantly reduced by activating an actuator at the appropriate time to lift the application mechanism or assembly and the cut-off mechanism away from the case being sealed.
Wheel assembly for transportable carton
A transportable carton assembly is disclosed that includes a carton defining a bottom rear corner edge portion having a pair of longitudinally spaced apart apertures formed therein, and an elongated shield retained within the bottom rear corner edge portion of the carton and including a pair of longitudinally spaced apart wheels positioned to extend through the longitudinally spaced apart apertures formed in the bottom rear corner edge portion of the carton for transporting the carton over a surface.
TAPE WETTING DEVICE IN CARTON SEALER
The present disclosure provides a tape wetting device in a carton sealer. The device includes a water containing bottle, a first water tank, a second water tank and a wetting roller. The water containing bottle is disposed on the first water tank, the wetting roller is arranged on the second water tank, the first water tank communicates with the second water tank, and the wetting roller is wetted with the water in the second water tank. When a tape passes through the wetting roller, the rotating wetting roller is in contact with the tape, so that an adhesive surface of the tape transfers and absorbs water attached to a roller surface of the wetting roller; and at the same time, the area of contact between the tape and the wetting roller is limited and controlled by pressing plates, so that a wetting effect of the tape is guaranteed.
Tape applicator with tape end fold and associated case sealing machine and method
An adhesive tape application device of a case sealing machine for sealing cases automatically and folding over the end of the adhesive tape to form a grippable non-adhesive tape end portion for easy peeling.
ARTICLE ALIGNMENT DEVICE
The present invention provides an article alignment device that can inhibit posture disorderliness when articles land on a conveyor belt. The posture of bags when the bags transfer from an input conveyor to a first aligning conveyor is inclined in such a way that the portions of the bags that land on bags already placed on the first aligning conveyor are higher and the portions of the bags that land directly on the first aligning conveyor are lower, so the bags land on the first aligning conveyor before or at the same time that they contact the bags that were placed on the first aligning conveyor before them. Additionally, the frictional force between the first aligning conveyor and the bags is greater than the frictional force between the bags, so sliding between the bags is prevented, as is posture disorderliness.
Packaging system with adjustable container closer
An improved packaging system (10) includes a packaging line that guides containers in a downstream direction, a sensor (12) that can identify a dimension of a container on the packaging line, a dunnage dispenser (14) on the packaging line downstream of the sensor to dispense dunnage to a void volume in a container, and a container closer (16) downstream of the dunnage dispenser (14) to close containers on the packaging line downstream of the dunnage dispenser. The container closer (16) includes an adjustable member (20), and is in communication with the sensor to (12) adjust the adjustable member (20) based on the identified dimension of the container. The system thus includes a way to identify the size of the container before the container reaches the container closer. The container closer can adjust for the container's size before the container arrives, speeding up the container closing operation.
