The invention relates to a device for heat sealing a film lid placed on the rim of a glass, the device comprising a deformable and thermally conductive element designed to press against the film lid and the rim and to heat the film lid and the rim. A peripheral portion of the conductive element is arranged to extend beyond the rim. The device has means for hinging and suspending the conductive element, and means for transmitting a pressure force exerted by an actuator to the conductive element, which force transmission means are distinct from the means for hinging and suspending the conductive element.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FILLING AND SEALING VIALS

A filling and sealing system is provided for efficiently filling a series of individual vials with therapeutic liquids. In particular embodiments, the system includes a filling zone or station, a sealing zone or station, an unloading zone or station, and electronic controls.

Film sealing mechanism

To allow a tubular film having a large opening diameter to be heat-sealed with a short length heater by a function (film width reduction function) that can reduce a size of an opening portion of the tubular film uniformly with a simple structure even when the width reduction operation is performed repeatedly. There is provided a film sealing mechanism provided with an elongated heater and a heater receiver configured to abut against the heater, the heater and heater receiver being disposed opposite, in a direction perpendicular to a position of the feed means, to a tubular film in which content is accommodated and which is fed downward from a film passage port by a feed means such as a feed roller with its both left and right end portions in a width direction supported, so as to be capable of holding outer surfaces of the film therebetween. The film sealing mechanism includes: a fixed bracket including the heater and two parallel extending film guides vertically sandwiching the heater; and a moving bracket disposed opposite to the fixed bracket and including the heater and film guides formed in a front surface of the heater receiver or parallel extending film guides disposed so as to vertically sandwich the heater receiver. The film guides of the fixed bracket each include first wing-like parts having a shape in which outer edges obliquely abutting against substantially both left and right side surfaces of the tubular film as viewed from above are opened toward the moving bracket. The film guides of the moving bracket each include second wing-like parts having a shape in which outer edges obliquely abutting against substantially both left and right side surfaces of the tubular film as viewed from above are opened toward the fixed bracket.

Method and system for producing sterile solution product bags

A method for producing sterile solution product bags includes positioning a manifold assembly onto a filling machine. The manifold assembly includes a plurality of bags, a first filter, and a connection line in fluid communication with the first filter. Each of the plurality of bags includes a bladder and a stem in fluid communication with the bladder and with the connection line. The method includes activating a pump and at least partially filling one or more of the bladders by pumping fluid through the feed line, the first filter, and the connection line. The method includes sealing the stem of each of the filled product bags at a location between the connection line and the bladder, thereby creating one or more at least partially filled and sealed product bags. The method includes separating each of the at least partially filled and sealed product bags from the connection line.

Method and system for producing sterile solution filled containers

A method for producing sterile solution-filled containers includes positioning a cartridge onto a filling machine. The cartridge includes a plurality of containers, a filter assembly, and a connection line in fluid communication with the filter assembly. Each of the plurality of containers includes a volume and a stem in fluid communication with the volume and in fluid communication with the connection line. The method includes coupling the cartridge to a feed line in fluid communication with a mix tank, activating a pump coupled to the feed line, and at least partially filling one or more of the volumes associated with the plurality of containers by pumping fluid through the feed line, the filter assembly, and the connection line to create one or more at least partially filled containers. Further, the method includes sealing and separating each of the filled and sealed containers from the connection line.
