The magnetic field concentrator (306, 406a, 406b) is injection molded in said main body (302, 402a, 402b). For this purpose the main body (302, 402a, 402b) is provided with at least one hole (312a, 312b) to gate material for forming said magnetic field concentrator (306, 406a, 406b) into an interior of said main body (302, 402a, 402b).
A SEALING DEVICE WITH INCREASED ROBUSTNESS
An improved induction sealing device (300) is presented. The device (300) comprises a main body (302), a magnetic field concentrator (306) held in said main body (302) and a conductive element (304). One or several protrusions (314a, 314b) of said magnetic field concentrator (306) cooperate with one or several indentations or openings (312a, 312b) in said main body (302) such that said magnetic field concentrator (306) and said main body (302) is securely bonded together.
Single Serving Beverage Container Filling and Sealing System and Method
An apparatus for filling a single serving beverage container comprising a hopper with at least one first hole at a hopper outlet, at least one push block located below the at least one first hole, the at least one push block further comprising at least one tube, and a tray located below the at least one push block, where the tray further comprises at least one second hole configured to retain the single serving beverage container. The hopper further comprises a method for directing a quantity of a material to be output through the at least one first hole into the at least one tube. The tray is structured and arranged to move linearly. A direct contact heat sealing device, further comprising a handle, an induction heat source, a direct contact sealing head, and a base.
Apparatus and method for induction sealing of conveyed workpieces
Apparatus and method for induction sealing workpieces, in which a series of workpieces are conveyed along a path extending in a conveyance direction, and each workpiece is exposed to a first electromagnetic field generated by a first induction head and to a second electromagnetic field generated by a second induction head, each of the first and second electromagnetic fields inducing eddy currents through the entirety of each workpiece. Respective magnetic axes of the first and second induction heads are non-parallel to each other such that each workpiece is exposed to a plurality of differently oriented electromagnetic fields as the workpiece is conveyed along the path.
Vorrichtung zum Siegeln einer Verpackung
The present invention relates to a device for sealing a packaging material (10), comprising at least one sealing installation (18) which comprises at least one coil core (24) which is surrounded by at least one coil (25), wherein the coil core (24) has at least one gap (32) through which packaging material peripheries (34, 36) to be sealed are guided, wherein at least one element (23) that conducts a magnetic flux is provided, said element (23) for influencing a region (22) of the packaging material peripheries (34, 36) to be heated being disposed so as to be adjacent to the packaging material peripheries (34, 36) to be sealed.
A WELDING HEAD
A welding head comprises a welding element (51) for welding a lid (1) to an opening device of a container (10). The welding head (43) further comprises a 5 compensating device (62) operable for compensating a misalignment between the welding element (51) and the lid (1), thereby centering the welding element (51) relative to the lid (1).
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INDUCTIVE SEALING OF A PLURALITY OF PLIES OF A LAMINATE
A device for inductive sealing of a plurality of plies of a laminate which comprises a carrier layer made of electrically non-conductive material, a sealing layer made of thermoplastic material and a metal layer disposed between the sealing layer and the carrier layer, includes two compressible sealing jaws, each fitted with an inductor embedded in a block of the sealing jaw. The block of each sealing law consists of a metallic material. A concentrator of each sealing jaw is composed of a plurality of partial pieces, wherein each partial piece consists of a material suitable for magnetic field concentration and all the partial pieces are electrically insulated from one another and with respect to the metal block. The inductor is disposed in a groove in the concentrator.
Method for sealing a metal cans with peelable lids and device therefor
A method of sealing a peelable lid (2) to a flange (4) provided within a metal can body (1) which involves inserting an induction coil (6) into the can body to primarily heat the sealing surface (5) of the flange, while keeping the exterior wall of the can relatively cool to avoid tin reflow and decoration degradation of the exterior wall. The induction coil is subsequently removed from the can body and a peelable lid applied to the flange, whereby residual heat in the flange aids the sealing of the lid to the flange, e.g. by allowing activation of a bonding material.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE HIGH-SPEED APPLICATION OF PAPER-BASED END CLOSURES ON COMPOSITE CONTAINERS
A system for assembling a container and closure comprising an expanding collet which has a plurality of pivoting collet segments, each configured to simultaneously pivot radially outward about a pivot point and comprising. The collet comprises a lip that is engageable with the rim of the open end of the container and an angled tip positioned radially inward from the lip and shaped to press a countersink portion of the closure against an interior wall of the container as the collet segments pivot radially outward. As the container and the chuck are brought together, the rim engages with the lips of the collet segments and causes the angled tips of the collet segments to pivot outward toward the interior wall of the container, thereby pushing the countersink portion of the closure against the interior wall of the container.
