High-shrink, high-strength multilayer film
A multilayer, heat-shrinkable film has a first portion containing an outer heat seal layer and a second portion containing a PVDC barrier layer and a second outer layer comprising polyester. Both film portions comprise polymer networks which are strained by solid-state orientation, but only the first portion contains a crosslinked polymer network. The film has (i) a total free shrink at 85° C. of at least 90% and (ii) an instrumented impact energy-to-break of at least 0.0.65 J/mil and/or an instrumented impact peak load of at least 70 N/mil. The film is primarily made from ethylene-based polymers. Packaging articles can be made by sealing the film to itself. The film comprises no polyamide or polyamide in an amount up to 10 wt %, on a total film weight basis.
ANCHOR PACKAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for and method of shipping items is provided. The method includes adhering a package to an inner surface of a shipping case, thereby inhibiting movement of the package relative to the shipping case. The method includes wrapping one or more item with a sacrificial layer, such as shrink wrap, stretch wrap, paper, or the like, thereby creating a tight barrier of the package. The system includes one or more conveyor system and one or more adhesive applicator for automating the methods of the present invention. After adhesive is applied to at least one of a first surface of the package and the inner surface of the shipping case, the package is placed into the shipping case and the shipping case is moved to a closed configuration, thereby defining a void surrounding all but the first surface of the package.
Bundled product and system
A shippable bundled product including a plurality of paper product rolls each individually packaged by a first package material and arranged relative to one another so as to form a bundle. The bundle is packaged by a second package material. The second package material has a shrinkage factor relative to the bundle of less than zero and the bundle has a size of 18 in. x 14 in. x 8 in.
Handle For Heat Shrink Film
The objective of this invention is to provide a handle for carrying an article or a bundle of bottles that is more resistant to tearing and delaminating and can carry heavy loads. This is accomplished by placing a strip on the inside of the wrapping material so that the strip that forms the handle is enclosed within the wrapping material. The strip film maintains direct contact with the wrapping film. Direct contact is achieved by electrostatic bonding of the handle film on the wrapping film. Therefor more than 80% of the handle seals to the wrapping film.
HEAT-SHRINKABLE PACKAGING
The present invention relates to a heat-shrinkable packaging intended for wrapping a series of containers, comprising a lower portion, an upper portion and lateral portions and having a reinforcement strip arranged transversely to the rows of containers, the packaging according to the present invention comprising at least two perforation lines. The present invention also relates to a method for packaging containers by means of a packaging and to a packaging blank.
Device for heating wrapped batches of products and installation for packaging by film wrapping batches of products
A device for heating wrapped batches of products and a packaging installation provided with such a heating device, specifically having a manifold of heating elements with lines of orifices and a blocking device for the orifices using a mobile plate having for each line of orifices openings, at least two successive openings having different lengths, to go the direction of movement a) from a position blocking at least a first line of orifices and opening at least a second line of orifices, b) to another position opening the first line of orifices whilst maintaining open the second line of orifices.
Apparatus and method for heat treatment of heat shrinkable film
An apparatus for heat treatment of a heat shrinkable film includes a steam generation apparatus that generates steam, a heated air generation apparatus that generates heated air not lower in temperature than steam generated in the steam generation apparatus, a mixed gas generator that generates mixed gas not lower in temperature than steam generated in the steam generation apparatus by mixing steam generated in the steam generation apparatus and heated air generated in the heated air generation apparatus, a reheating apparatus that generates superheated steam by reheating mixed gas generated in the mixed gas generator, and a supply portion that supplies superheated steam generated in the reheating apparatus to a heat treatment chamber.
Heat-shrinking apparatus for shrink labels
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat-shrinking apparatus for shrink labels which is capable of uniformly heat shrinking a shrink label covering a portion or the entirety of an article, and which is capable of completing heat shrinking in a state in which water drops are not deposited on the article and the surface of the shrink label. Accordingly, the present invention is provided with: a heat treatment chamber (2) having, provided therein, a steam discharge unit (12) for discharging superheated steam in order to heat shrink a cylindrical label (L) fitted to a container (PC), and a heated air blowing unit (14) for causing deposited water drops to evaporate by blowing heated air on the container (PC) after the cylindrical label (L) has been heat shrlUlk; a superheater (22) which heats steam generated by a steam boiler (20), to generate the superheated steam; a preheating lUlit (27) which uses the surplus steam inside the heat treatment chamber (2) to preheat air used to generate the heated air; a heated-air-generating heat exchanger (15) which uses steam to heat the preheated air to a prescribed temperature; and a condensing heat exchanger (31) for condensing the surplus steam.
BUNDLED PRODUCT AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME
A shippable bundled product including a plurality of paper product rolls each individually packaged by a first package material and arranged relative to one another so as to form a bundle. The bundle is packaged by a second package material. The second package material has a shrinkage factor relative to the bundle of less than zero.
Method for bundle-packaging batches of products, heating device and facility with such a device
The present invention relates to a method for bundle-packaging batches of products, wherein products are moved in a longitudinal running direction, grouped into batches and wrapped with a film of heat-shrinkable film. Each wrapped batch is heated to form a contraction of each sheet around said batch. Heating of a batch is performed by the circulation of at least one heated air stream and by the expulsion of said stream toward the interior of the enclosure of an oven provided, successively, with first and second sections; the sheet is cooled; during heating, along at least a part of the first section, a first air stream is shaped discontinuously and expelled toward the interior of said enclosure. The method consists, during heating, along said second section, in shaping a second stream as an air knife and expelling said air knife toward said sheet to be smoothed.
