WETTING AGENT FORMULATION
A first alternative to a composition for preventing or retarding degradation of a functional coating on a medical device comprising an antioxidant selected from gallic acid or a derivative thereof. A second alternative to a composition for preventing or retarding degradation of a functional coating on a medical device includes carboxymethyl cellulose or a derivative or salt thereof. The use of the compositions for preventing or retarding degradation of a functional coating on a medical device from reactive species generated during exposure of radiation, and a wetting agent comprising the compositions, are also provided. The wetting agent prevents or retards the hydrolytic degradation of the coating during the intended shelf-life of the wetted coated product.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF SMART AUTO-VENDING IN PANDEMIC
The present disclosure provides a system and method for smart auto-vending during a pandemic. The purpose is to increase efficiency in order fulfillment of prepacked and non-prepacked products in terms of speed, low cost, and sterilization. The system comprises: a box station; dispensers/dispensing subsystems; sterilization stations with different sterilization methods; a packaging station with different packaging methods; a shipping station for smart shipping with automatic self-driving vehicles or drones; a main conveyor and sub-conveyors that move an order through the system. In addition, there may be one dispensing subsystem for weighing, bagging, and sterilizing non-prepackaged grocery products. The system's AI function is also used to optimize items stored in each dispenser/dispensing subsystem. All of these components and methods come together to form an integrated, streamlined, and optimized system and method for carrying out online order fulfillment efficiently.
PRE-SHAPED ALLOGRAFT IMPLANT FOR RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGICAL USE AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE, AND TOOLS FOR FORMING A PRE-SHAPED ALLOGRAFT IMPLANT FOR RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGICAL USE
There is disclosed an acellular dermal matrix (ADM) graft stored as a packaged ADM graft pocket product prepared by a process that includes providing a portion of ADM tissue having a thickness between 1 mm and 2 mm. The process includes scoring the portion of the ADM tissue into a pre-defined shape to form the domed shape ADM graft. The process includes verifying the thickness of the domed shape ADM graft; shaping the domed shape ADM graft to form an ADM graft pocket configured to receive a breast implant. The process includes packaging the ADM graft pocket to form a packaged ADM graft pocket. The process includes irradiating the packaged ADM graft pocket to a sterility assurance level of a desired level to form the packaged ADM graft pocket product. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
Pasteurizing Paints and Method for Pasteurizing Paints
Disclosed herein are methods for pasteurizing architectural coating compositions using heat, radiation or other energy sources without additionally polymerizing the compositions and storing same.
INTELLIGENT TRASH CAN WITH CLOSING AND PACKING MECHANISM
An intelligent trash can includes a closing and packing mechanism for automatic closing of a garbage bag. The closing and packing mechanism include a pair of first pressing rods and a second pressing rod. The pair of first pressing rods are configured for being synchronously approached or synchronously moved away under the driving of a first belt transmission unit. The second pressing rod is perpendicular to the pair of first pressing rods. The second pressing rod is configured to perform linear reciprocating motion along a length direction of the pair of first pressing rods under the driving of the second belt transmission unit.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR GENERATING A LIQUID FILM OF A LIQUID MEDIUM IN A FILM BAG, AND ASSEMBLY FOR THE CONTROLLED EXPOSURE OF A LIQUID MEDIUM IN A FILM BAG USING PHYSICAL RADIATION
A device for generating a liquid film of a liquid medium in a film bag includes two accumulating surfaces spaced apart by an accumulating distance (A), between which the film bag can be arranged and transported along a transport direction; a braking element arranged downstream of the accumulating surfaces in the transport direction, which braking element is arranged to brake the film bag; with a running surface which is convexly curved in the transport direction and is set up and arranged in such a way that the film bag braked by the braking element can be spanned on the running surface behind the braking element. At least a first accumulating surface of the two accumulating surfaces is formed at least in regions by a driven first conveyor belt which is arranged to convey the film bag in the transport direction. The device has, downstream of the braking element in the transport direction, a controllable tensioning element which is arranged to span the film bag on the running surface between the braking element and the tensioning element. The first conveyor belt or a belt drive for the first conveyor belt can be controlled independently of the controllable tensioning element.

Surgical instrument comprising a control circuit configured to adjust the operation of a motor
A surgical instrument comprising a housing, a shaft, an end-effector, a cutting member, and a control circuit is disclosed. The housing comprises a motor. The end-effector comprises a first jaw, a second jaw movable relative to the first jaw, an anvil, and a staple cartridge comprising staples, driver elements, and a sled configured to eject the staples toward the anvil. The sled is movable between a proximal unfired position and a distal fired position through a firing stroke. The cutting member is configured to be advanced distally into the sled by the motor. The control circuit is configured to detect the location of the cutting member, monitor a parameter indicative of a load experienced by the cutting member, determine a threshold value of the parameter based on a portion of the firing stroke, and adjust operation of the motor if the monitored parameter exceeds the determined threshold value.
