ANIMAL SURGERY PROTECTIVE SLEEVE
A pet protection system includes a leg portion having a first end having a first cross-section having a flexible opening to insert a pet foot therethrough; an angled portion coupled to the first end and having a second cross-section greater than the first cross-section; and a second end coupled to the angled portion, wherein the second end has a third cross-section greater than the second cross-section; and a body portion coupled to the leg portion, the body portion forming a loop that fits securely on a body of the pet.
Protective articles for horses
A protective article for a horse includes a protective member and a replaceable securing member. The protective member includes a body portion extending between a pair of opposing ends and dimensioned to be wrapped around and secured to a horse's body part, and further includes a first engagement member coupled to the body portion adjacent one end, and a second engagement member coupled to the body portion adjacent the other end. The replaceable securing member is adapted to be selectively engaged with the engagement members in a manner that urges the engagement members towards one another. The replaceable securing member includes a first securing assembly adapted to be manually reversibly secured to the first engagement member, and a second securing assembly adapted to be manually reversibly secured to the second engagement member, the first securing assembly securing to the first engagement member independently of the second securing assembly.
Rocker shoe and attachment for an equine boot assembly
An equine boot attachment and/or solid structure shoe that is designed to be attached on the underside of an equine boot or an equine hoof that allows the boot or hoof to roll forward, or to the side, without unnecessary bending, thus allowing an equine user to find a comfortable natural position to relieve stress on a sore, injured or diseased hoof. The rocking action allows the equine to adjust its stance to find the most comfortable position, not unlike standing in a bed of sand. This ability to find a naturally comfortable standing position is especially important for equine with lameness such as laminitis.
BOOT AND COAT FOR DOMESTIC ANIMALS
The known dog boots and coats lack in the area of “easy to put on” and “stays on”. The present invention relates to a boot, including: a fabric material; a silicone gel material for covering the inner surface of the fabric material, the silicone gel material being connected to the fabric material; wherein the boot is configured to be reversible so as to cover and conform to a paw and lower leg of the domestic animal that comes in contact with the silicone gel material while the boot is put on; and wherein the silicone material and fabric material are configured to flexibly and removably secure, through the flexibility of the fabric and silicone materials, the boot to the paw and lower leg of the domestic animal; and wherein the silicone gel material provides shock-absorbing protection to the paw. The coat includes a portion with three layer fabric/silicone/fabric.
Trail boot
A canine trail boot has a molded sole having raised lugs that conform to the pad shape of a dog's foot. These lugs divide the sole into individual pad cups, each that receive a single pad from the dog foot. Features are provided that allow some independent movement between adjacent pad cups that better replicates a dog's pad movement. The molded sole may include a toe having unidirectional treads, and may also include a tail having a combination of treads that also receive and retain straps, and a raised protrusion that engages with an indentation on a dog's paw to retain a boot securely. The sole interior may be layered with one or more insoles that provide the selection of puncture resistance, heat isolation or reflection, and other custom interior features.
MEDICATED AND UNMEDICATED PAW GRIPPING COMPOSITIONS, ARTICLES, APPARATUSES, AND CONSTRUCTS, AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING SAME
Paw gripping compositions include one or more resins and/or one or more polymers, wherein the compositions are formulated to adhere to an animal's paws and to improve paw grip on slick surfaces, wherein the compositions may also include a carrier and/or one or more inert solids and wherein the compositions may also include one or more veterinary pharmaceutical compositions provided that the pharmaceuticals may be absorbed through the paw or through the inner paw tissue and are compatible with the paw gripping components. Paw gripping articles, apparatuses, and constructs including release sheet, an adhesive layer and at least one non-slip layer with one or more medicated layers and/or one or more shock asborbent layers interposed between the adhesive layer and the at least one non-slip layer.
Stabilized equine ankle brace
An equine ankle brace including a panel of a resilient thermally insulating, heat retaining material, having a cup-shaped bottom portion for enabling the panel to be wrapped around the horse's ankle to readily conform to it. The panel has an inner surface and an outer surface, a pair of front marginal edges including releasably securable fastening straps for securing the brace in place. A stabilizing, e.g., leather, patch is fixedly secured to the panel at the location of the cup-shaped bottom portion. A fetlock support strap is fixedly secured to the stabilizing patch and includes respective portions configured to be pulled into an X-shaped overlapping relationship over the front of the brace for releasable securement to portions of the outer surface of the brace.
Adjustable Gaiter, Especially for Horses
A gaiter which has as an insert an elastic sheath which has at least one projecting region as a retaining projection, one curved shell encompassing the insert and having two opposite legs, the shell having retaining recesses arranged to match the retaining projections of the insert, which retaining recesses have a larger cross-section than the retaining projections of the insert.
Animal hoof tape
A protective cover for an animal hoof is provided that includes a sheet having a first side, a second side, and an exterior edge surrounding an interior area of the sheet. The exterior edge includes a plurality of slits extending from the exterior edge to the interior area of the sheet, and flaps of the sheet between each of the plurality of slits. The first side has an adhesive material and the second side has a textured surface. The protective cover may be applied by providing the protective cover; removing the film from the adhesive material; applying the first side with the adhesive material to a center of a bottom of the animal hoof; folding the flaps of the sheet between each of the plurality of slits; and pressing the protective cover against the animal hoof toe, heel, and sidewalls.
Animal hoof therapeutic delivery wrap
A modular lower leg and hoof wrap configured to hold one or more therapeutic devices proximate an animal's hoof. The invention is intended primarily for use with horses. The components attach to a sole, which is intended to be positioned beneath the animal's hoof. One or more retention panels extend upward from the sole. A first wrap panel and a second wrap panel also extend upward form the sole. Elastic and VELCRO attachment features are preferably used so that each of the components may be positioned in a suitable location for a particular animal's anatomy. Other closure devices, such as buckles or snaps, could also be used.
