The invention presents a harness assembly for lifting and supporting an animal in mobility. The assembly comprises a front and rear harness sections releasably attached by a lifting leash. Both the front and rear harness sections can be used independently. Both the front and rear harness sections are comprised of upper and lower sections releasably attached to one another. The rear harness section lifts the animal from both the hips and waist resulting in less stress than other devices.

A hydrotherapy apparatus (1) comprises a tank (10); a conveyer (30) with a conveyer frame (34) and drum (38) mounted within the tank (10), and an actuator (200) comprising: a guide (202) mounted on an end region of the conveyer frame (34), the guide (202) comprising a first portion (202a) and a second portion (202b) angled downwards with respect to, and closer to the drum (36) than, the first portion; a glider (204) arranged to be received by the guide (202); and an actuator shaft (208) arranged to move the glider (204). The hydrotherapy apparatus (1) may comprise a lifting arm (80) rotatably connected to the conveyer frame (32), at a position spaced from the drum (36), at a first end region of the lifting arm (80), and arranged to be driven by the actuator (200) so as to rotate the conveyer (30) further.

Embodiments of the present invention provide devices, systems and methods for measuring a dog’s energy expenditures and/or movements, and providing signals to the dog to engage in activities or games to earn food. In one aspect, one or more of the dog’s activity level, age, weight, body mass, and/or other health information is utilized to determine an appropriate food intake level for the dog. By measuring the dog’s activity, the amount of calories the dog needs and/or has utilized may be determined. By encouraging activity by the dog, the dog’s health may improve, even if the dog’s weight remains unchanged. Among other embodiments disclosed herein, various mechanisms capable of moderating animal noise and/or behavior are disclosed.

A method for monitoring a horse is disclosed, the method comprising positioning a sensor device below an ear of the horse, the sensor device comprising a sensor unit comprising a first optical sensor; obtaining sensor data from the sensor unit, the sensor data comprising first sensor data from the first optical sensor; determining, with the sensor device, horse data of the horse based on the sensor data; and transmitting the horse data to a monitor device.

A pet breeding tool includes a roller, an optical sensor and an operation processor. The roller is adapted to rotate relative to an axle direction. The optical sensor is adapted to emit a detection beam toward the roller and receive a reflection beam from the roller. The operation processor is electrically connected to the optical sensor. The operation processor is adapted to analyze the reflection beam for acquiring rotation data of the roller, and further transform random variation of the rotation data into behavior of the roller for immediately adjusting output information relevant to the foresaid behavior.

Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for interactive fetching for one or more participants, such as pets. In one implementation, a projectile, such as a ball, is received in a receiver and transported through an opening into a feeder of a randomizer. One of a plurality of chutes is randomly selected using gravity, and the projectile is transported from the feeder into the selected chute. The chute generates a smooth roll along a ramp to a port, from which the projectile is ejected along an ejection path for the participant to retrieve.

An apparatus, systems, and methods of providing enrichment to poultry during raising or maintaining of the poultry. One or more light sources project beams to generate laser spots at and around the poultry. A control regimen moves the light spots relative the poultry in generally random fashion during timed sessions for each given time period (e.g. each day). The spot movement is designed to promote benefits to poultry and producer in correlation to experimental data related to animal welfare, health, and commercial value.

A herding ball has a pliable inner sphere and a spherical fabric cover. The pliable inner sphere has an outer surface and a port through which the pliable inner sphere may be filled with air. A plug is provided for plugging the port once the pliable inner sphere has been inflated. The spherical fabric cover is sized and shaped to fit around the pliable inner sphere, and provides a durable outer surface that includes a zipper closure. The zipper closure includes a slider having an attachment ring. A removable zipper pull includes a removable fastener for attachment to the attachment ring of the slider, and a pull that extends outwardly from the removable fastener.
