Glass container comprising a glass bottom with improved properties
A glass container is provided that includes a tube, a circular bottom, and a longitudinal axis. A curved glass heel extends from an outer end the bottom to the first end of the tube. The two-dimensional distance h(x,y) between a contact plane and the outer surface. The two-dimensional distance is measured in a direction parallel to the axis. The slope magnitude of the outer surface at the given position x,y is given by

WINE BOTTLE WITH CORK RETAINER AND RE-USE FEATURES
A wine bottle is provided with a punt at a lower end which includes a cork retainer therein. A cork can thus be stored within the cork retainer. In one embodiment, the cork retainer includes two retainer surfaces which are opposing each other horizontally, and spaced apart by a length similar to opposing portions of the cork to allow the cork to fit tightly between these retainer surfaces. Space above the retainer surfaces can hold a foil wrap with the cork within the cork retainer and holding the foil wrap in place. Full re-use of the bottle is thus facilitated. In one embodiment, the bottle has an octagonal shape so that multiple bottles can be shipped together and placed adjacent each other with flat surfaces distributing loads therebetween, without forces concentrated at points thereof, and to keep the bottles in good shape for washing, re-filling and re-use.
BOTTLE AND STAND FOR REMOVING CONTENTS FROM BOTTLE
The present invention is a liquid dispenser, with an inner container, and an outer housing. The inner container is designed to hold a bottle in an inverted position so the liquid stuck at the bottom of the bottle may be emptied into the inner container. The inner container also includes an inner surface designed to draw liquid to the center of the inner container. This reduces the amount of liquid that gets stuck at the bottom of the inner container and allows a user to extract all of the liquid from the inner container. The outer housing is designed to cover the inner container hold a pump and cover the inner container. The lotion dispenser also includes suction cups to secure the inner container to a surface and be self-supporting.
Small carbonated beverage packaging with enhanced shelf life properties
This disclosure provides new containers, preforms, methods, and designs for small and light-weight carbonated beverage packaging that provide surprisingly improved carbonation retention and greater shelf life, while still achieving light weight. This disclosure is particularly drawn to small PET containers for carbonated beverages, for example less than or about 400 mL, and methods and designs for their fabrication that attain unexpectedly good carbonation retention and shelf life.
Container structure for removal of vacuum pressure
A hot-fill PET container or bottle (10) filling with a liquid at an elevated temperature has a side wall (9) extending to a lower portion including a pressure panel (11) and a base (21) in its unfolded or pre-fill position. The panel (11) is transversely oriented and has a decoupling or hinge structure or element (13), an initiator portion (1) and control portion (5) of a steeply angled inverting conical section between 30 and 45 degrees. The control portion enables the inversion of the panel (11) into the container (10) to compensate for vacuum or reduced pressure induced within the container as the liquid cools down. The base (2) can also have a plurality of reinforcing ribs (3).
Resin bottle and method for making the same
To provide a resin container and a method for manufacturing the same with which it is possible to generate more effervescence than hitherto. This resin container is provided with: a resin container main body inside which is formed an accommodating space that is hermetically sealed using a cap; and a textured region which is formed on an inner surface of the container main body and is formed from a rough surface.
Impact extrusion method, tooling and product
A hollow preform impact extruded from a metal billet to produce a progressing wall at a transition wall thickness. An axially forward portion of the progressing wall is ironed by extrusion past an extrusion point to form a sidewall portion of a lesser thickness. Extruding is stopped while some of the billet remains to form the closed bottom end. The preform has a bottom portion, a sidewall portion and a transition wall portion extending between the bottom portion and the sidewall portion. The transition wall portion is thicker than the sidewall portion and can be formed into at least part of the rim of an expansion shaped container. An impact extrusion punch has a central axis, an axially forward, impact surface for impacting metal to be extruded, a transition region for directing material displaced by the impact surface and a rear extrusion point for ironing material extruded past the transition region.
Glass container with an improved bottom geometry
A glass container for packaging a pharmaceutical composition including a glass tube with a first end and a second end, the glass tube having a wall thickness d.sub.w and an outer diameter d.sub.c, a glass bottom with an outer area, the glass bottom closes the glass tube at the first end, and a curved glass heel extending from the outer area of the glass bottom to the first end of the glass tube. The curved glass heel is defined by an outer radius r.sub.o, an inner radius r.sub.i, and a thickness of the glass d.sub.h in the curved glass heel and:

Vertically connecting bottles for wine and other liquids
A stackable bottle system is a modular apparatus used to present a tasting set of wines, or other separate beverages and liquids, in a user-configurable unit assembled from multiple independent containers. The stackable bottle system utilizes a plurality of interlocking bottles, each individually formed from a core container, a protruding engagement structure, a recessed engagement structure, and a separable seal. The separable seal is mounted over an opening in the core container, enclosing a reservoir. The core container provides a hollow body to retain any liquid therein. The protruding engagement structure and the recessed engagement structure are integrated into the core container at a neck end and a base end, respectively. The protruding engagement structure of an arbitrary bottle is engaged into the recessed engagement structure of an adjacent bottle to form the basis for the modular assembly of the present invention.
