Configurable food trays and modular containers
A disposable or reusable food base tray and plurality of container modules is disclosed which allows the user to both hold food directly in compartments on the base tray and configure a plurality of similar or different food and beverage container modules selected by the user to securely fit the compartments on the surface of the base tray. Container modules include but are not limited to bowls, partitioned modules, cups, cup adapters, platters and other container modules. An additional feature includes the ability to stack an additional tray securely on top of said container modules. An additional feature includes unique themed identifiers on base trays and container modules so that users can readily identify and remember which items belong to the user.
SINGLE SERVING BEVERAGE PREPARATION CUP
Systems and methods for a single serving beverage preparation cup are provided. The single serving beverage preparation cup may include a plurality of reverse teardrop ribs that may channel water combined with dried ingredients, for example coffee grounds, through the single serving beverage preparation cup. By channeling the combined water and dried ingredients through the single serving beverage preparation cup, the pressure within the single serving beverage preparation cup is reduced, an avenue for extraction is created, varying amounts of dried ingredients can be added, and water may be exposed to a greater proportion of dried ingredients than in conventional systems.
BRIM-FORMING MACHINE AND METHOD OF USE
A drink cup includes a body formed to include an interior fluid-storage region and a brim. The brim is coupled to the body to surround an opening into the interior fluid-storage region. The brim is formed by a brim-forming machine.
Container and Manufacture Thereof
A container having an annular sidewall with upper and lower annular peripheral edges and a lattice structure of elongate ribs interconnecting the upper and lower annular peripheral edges, wherein the lattice structure is an open framework defining a plurality of sidewall openings, and a base having an annular peripheral edge which is integral with the lower annular peripheral edge of the sidewall, the annular peripheral edge of the base surrounding a base wall structure which is integral therewith, the base wall structure having at least one injection moulding sprue at a central region of the base wall structure, wherein the at least one injection moulding sprue is connected to the upper annular peripheral edge of the annular sidewall by the base wall structure, the annular peripheral edge of the base, the lower annular peripheral edge of the sidewall and the lattice structure of the sidewall, wherein the sidewall and the base are composed of a thermoplastic polymer and define a central concavity for packaging a product, and wherein the container further has a flexible sheet which is bonded to the lattice structure to cover the sidewall openings and form a sealed sidewall surface of the container.
A RECEPTACLE
There is disclosed a receptacle (10) comprising: a container (20) having an opening (28), the opening having a circular profile; and a lid (50) for closing the opening of the container; wherein the lid and container are configured to lock together with a rotational friction lock, the rotational friction lock comprising a protruding locking tab (30) on a surface of the container or the lid and a locking surface profile (68) defined on the other of the lid or the container; wherein the locking surface is configured to oppose the locking tab when the lid closes the opening of the container, the locking surface having a locking portion (74), and the locking portion having a continuous surface with a varying radius such that friction between the locking tab and the locking portion varies on relative rotation between the lid and the container.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER
The present invention is a beverage container that includes an elongate main body, a first weight module, a second weight module, a wearable band, and a clasp band. The main body has a sidewall, an open top and a closed bottom bounded by the sidewall. The open top has a first main threading. The closed bottom has a second main threading. The first weight module has a closed end, an open end, and a first weight threading adjacent to the open end complementary to the first main threading to secure the first weight module to the main body. The second weight module has a closed region, an open region, and a second weight threading adjacent to the open region complementary to the second main threading to secure the second weight module to the main body. The wearable band has a non-adjustable, fixed circumference that defines a first outer diameter. The clasp band is coupled to the main body. The clasp band defines a second outer diameter that is less than the first outer diameter. The clasp band comprises a support ring and a connector. The support ring is formed around the second main treading projecting therefrom and having a ring shaped groove between the main body and the second weight module. The connector is configured to couple the clasp band to the wearable band.
FIBER-BASED CUP DESIGN, CHEMISTRY AND TOOLING
A fiber-based, plastic-free drinking cup is formed by providing a fiber-based slurry comprising a hydrophobic additive and a strength additive, then forming a drinking cup component by compressing and drying the fiber-based slurry in a form press assembly having an internal shape characterized by a conic frustum. The fiber-based slurry may include a dry pulp mixture of virgin fiber and recycled fiber, the hydrophobic additive is 1.0-10.0% of the dry pulp weight, and the strength additive is 1.0-10.0% of the dry pulp weight. In particular, the fiber-based slurry may include about 50% bleached hardwood, about 50% bleached softwood, about 2.5% strength additive, and about 3.5% hydrophobic additive by dry pulp weight.
Brim-forming machine and method of use
A drink cup includes a body formed to include an interior fluid-storage region and a brim. The brim is coupled to the body to surround an opening into the interior fluid-storage region. The brim is formed by a brim-forming machine.
Container having enhanced wall integrity and alignment element
A container having enhanced wall integrity is provided that includes a sidewall having a polygonal cross-sectional shape and an alignment structure formed therein. The alignment structure is adapted for orienting the container with respect to a second container such that the panel sections of the containers become parallel with one another and the containers may be fully nested one within the other. The alignment structure can be recessed into the sidewall to form peaks and valleys along an inner surface of the container. Alternatively, the alignment structure can protrude from the sidewall to form peaks and valleys along an inner surface of the container. The peaks include first and second faces sloping in opposite directions designed to direct corners of the first container's sidewall toward the valleys of the second container in order to orient the containers as they are stacked.
