MULTI-CUP ARRANGEMENT FOR FOODSTUFF PACKAGING

The present invention provides a multi-cup arrangement comprising a polypropylene sheet, wherein the polypropylene sheet comprises at least two cavities, the cavities each protruding from the sheet from a bottom surface of the sheet, wherein the cavities are separated from each other via one or more spacer area(s) on the sheet, wherein the spacer area(s) each comprise one or more groove(s) on the bottom surface of the sheet that are positioned to allow the sheet to be broken along the groove by bending the sheet towards the top surface, wherein the grooves are positioned to divide the sheet into multiple segments, each segment comprising one or more cavities, wherein each of the groove(s) has a maximum depth of ≥25% and ≤80% with regard to the thickness of the polypropylene sheet. Such multi-cup arrangement may be separated into individual cup segments by moderate manual force, whilst the arrangement does not undesirably bend nor snap under the action of its own weight.

A multi-compartment package for dispensing plural items is disclosed. The package includes plural individual sealed compartment units which are releasably secured to each other. Each compartment unit includes a flanged base from which a chamber depends. The chamber holds an item to be dispensed and is surrounded by a flange. A closure member, in the form of a respective portion of a frangible cover sheet, is adhesively secured to the flange of each compartment unit. Each closure member includes plural tamper-evident cuts therein located adjacent respective corners of the closure member to initiate a tear upon attempted removal of the closure member from the flange of its associated compartment unit.

MULTI-COMPARTMENT TRAY

Provided is a multi-compartment tray having at least two compartments that are connected at the time of sale and then able to be split into separate, detached compartments by a user. The compartments are conjoined by a 3-dimensional wave-shaped perforation region. Each perforation wave includes a crest and a trough and perforation tabs are formed on at least some of the crests and troughs and form the point of interconnection between the compartments. In use, a user can apply leverage to the offset planes resulting in bending/snapping of the compartments relative to one another and causing the perforation break, thereby separating the compartments.
