LIGHTWEIGHT PLASTIC CONTAINER AND PREFORM
A plastic preform includes a hollow body portion including a closed base portion and a lower portion and a lower portion extending upwardly from the closed bottom portion; and a neck portion extending upwardly from the lower portion. The neck portion includes a dispensing opening positioned at a top of the neck portion, threads positioned below the dispensing opening, a tamper-evident formation having a lower surface and positioned directly below the threads, and a support flange having an upper surface and a lower surface and positioned below the tamper-evident formation. In an embodiment, the plastic preform is formed of a material comprising polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and a vertical distance from the lower surface of the tamper-evident formation to the lower surface of the support flange is from 0.125 to 0.150 inches. Containers and methods for molding preforms and making containers are also disclosed.
CONNECTING ARRANGEMENT, CONNECTING SYSTEM, CONTAINER AND CONTAINER SYSTEM
A fluidic connection for producing a connection between a first container and a second container, wherein, for producing a fluidic connection, a first and second connecting arrangement can be coupled to one another and an opening brought about by the coupling, as a result of which a passage is produced which is suitable for interconnecting the interiors of the containers.
DELAMINATION CONTAINER
A container with separable laminated layers includes an outer layer body, an inner layer body separably laminated on an inner surface of the outer layer body and capable of undergoing volume reduction and shape change, and an ambient air inlet continuously extending between the outer layer body and the inner layer body. The container with separable laminated layers has a bottle shape including a tubular mouth, a shoulder continuous with the mouth, a trunk continuous with the shoulder, and a bottom continuous with the trunk. The trunk includes a squeeze area that is continuous with the shoulder via a circumferential step portion or a circumferential rib portion. The step portion or the rib portion is provided with a recess that is concave toward an inner side of the container.

PLASTIC CONTAINER WITH REINFORCED CORNER PORTIONS
A plastic container (1) with a base (2) and mutually opposite side walls (3, 4) has reinforced corner portions (5) at each of its corners on the outside. The corner portions (5) are of double-walled design, an outer wall (6) extending upwards on the outside in each case from the level of the base (2) over part of the height of the side walls (3, 4). The double-walled corner portions (5) have cavities (7), which extend continuously from top to bottom and are subdivided by one or more ribs (8, 8′). The corner portions (5) formed with the continuous cavities (7) provide advantages in production by injection moulding, the core tools achieving a longer service life thanks to better heat dissipation. When the plastic containers (1) according to the invention are being cleaned with water, the continuous cavities (7) allow more hygienic cleaning, the water being able to drain out without any residues being left behind.

Method and Apparatus for Reforming an Inside Dome Wall Portion of a Container
A reform apparatus for reforming a bottom portion of a metallic beverage container is provided. The reform apparatus generally includes a pair of reform rollers interconnected to pivot arms. Spring are operably interconnected to the reform rollers such that the reform rollers a biased radially inwardly in an unactuated state. The springs at least one of spring bushings and compression springs. The reform rollers rotate radially outwardly when a wedge member pushes axially between the two pivot arms. The wedge member engages and imparts rotation to the pivot arms. An annular edge of each of the reform rollers contacts an inner wall portion of the bottom portion of the beverage container to form a groove of a predetermined size and shape.
