PRESSURE-RESISTANT CONTAINER
A can to contain a liquid and/or a gas is closed with a bottom element and a cover element. The innermost layer is a straight-wound barrier layer having a folded seam extending in a longitudinal direction. The barrier layer includes an inner diffusion-tight layer and an outer kraft paper layer. At least two further straight-wound layers made of paper or cardboard are around the barrier layer of the can shell. Adjoining cardboard or paper surfaces of the barrier layer and a next wound layer are adhered directly to each other. Each of the two further wound layers is longitudinally wound and include in the longitudinal direction an overlapping region with itself. The overlapping region of the next wound layer adjoining the barrier layer is offset relative to the folded seam of the barrier layer and the overlapping regions of the two further wound layers are located at different peripheral regions.
CONTAINER FOR ARTICLES, RELATIVE BLANK AND METHOD OF MAKING
A container for articles, including: an upper end and a lower end; a first lateral wall and a second lateral wall; a bottom, including a first bottom wall and a second bottom wall. The container includes means for blocking the bottom, including a first abutment flap fixed to the inner surface of the first lateral wall and including a lower abutment edge; and a second abutment flap including an upper abutment edge and connected to the second bottom wall. The second abutment flap is folded against the inner surface of the first lateral wall for abutting, with the relative upper abutment edge, the lower abutment edge of the first abutment flap.

Container with scalable features
A container for containing a fluid. The container includes a sidewall construct that includes an inner sidewall extending at least partially around an interior of the container and having an inner lower edge, and an outer sleeve attached to the inner sidewall, the outer sleeve has an outer lower edge that is spaced below the inner lower edge. The container also includes a closed bottom defining a bottom of the interior of the container.

METHOD OF FORMING A PAPER CONTAINER AND RELATED MATERIALS
Materials for coating paper sleeve blanks are provided, wherein the paper sleeve blank includes a multilayer coating. The multilayer coating includes a barrier layer and a top coat. At least two polymeric layers, including a top coat, are added to one side of the paper sleeve blank and the bottom blank. A container forming machine wraps and seals the multilayer coated paper sleeve blank to the coated bottom blank.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING CONTAINERS
A method and system are disclosed for forming a can from a re-configurable blank. A blank is also disclosed that may be a paper based blank and may be of multi-layer construction. The method may comprise: (a) supporting the blank in a first orientation; (b) positioning a first portion of an outward facing surface of a blank support device proximate a first portion of the blank while the blank is in the first orientation; (c) while the first portion of the blank is in the first orientation, rotating a second portion of the blank around a second portion of the outward facing surface of the blank support device; and (d) rotating a third portion of the blank from the first orientation, around a third portion of the outward facing surface of the blank support device. A generally tubular side wall may thus be formed for a can.
