A pet leash device includes a base, an upper shell connected to the base, a reel, a leash wound in the reel, a leash extractor, and a damping assembly. The reel is arranged around a rotating shaft arranged on the base. The leash extractor is connected to the base. A notch matching the leash extractor is provided on the upper shell. The damping assembly includes first and second gears, a fixing member, a spring, and a gasket. At least two fixing sleeves are arranged on the base. The fixing member is connected to the fixing sleeves. Two ends of the spring are respectively pressed against the base and the gasket. Two sides of the first gear are respectively in friction contact with the gasket and the fixing member. The first and second gears form a clutch structure. A ring gear meshed with the second gear is arranged on the reel.

The leash assembly includes a casing body with a handle attached to the body by an at least one hinge joint, a braking device, and a spool arrangement with an extendable lead line wound thereabout and configured attachable to the pet animals' collar or harness, wherein in the leash assembly the handle is configured to articulate about the joint with regard to the casing body, the articulation movement of the handle being triggered by the pulling force exerted on the lead line by the animal kept on the leash, and wherein, by virtue of the articulation movement the braking device actuates a braking action causing the lead line to reduce unwinding speed proportionally with an increase in the pulling force.

The leash includes a buckle connected to one of the fixed-sized loops. The buckle is connected to one of the fixed-sized loops and is slidably engaged with the body so as to cause adjustments in the leash length as the buckle slides along the body responsive to manual forced applied by a user. The buckle is configured to remain at a fixed location on the body absent manual force being applied to slide the buckle along the body. The elastomeric material of the body adds to comfort and safety for using the leash with animal(s) attached to the leash, as well as for increasing secure positioning of the buckle on the body.

A two-handed dog leash is provided having a rigid tubular member having a first handle, a second handle, and central portion. The central portion is positioned between the first and second handles and defines a centrally located aperture. A cleat assembly is positioned within the centrally located aperture. A leash terminating member secures a first end of a flexible leash within the central portion. The flexible dog leash having a second end configured to pass through the cleat assembly within the centrally located aperture and the flexible dog leash is capable of extending and retracting through the cleat assembly such that the length between the second end and rigid tubular member is adjustable.

GUIDANCE VEHICLE

A guidance vehicle guides a dog for a walk, and includes a leash attachment, a distance sensor, and an electronic control unit. The leash attachment is configured to attach a leash that connects the dog. The distance sensor is configured to detect a dog-to-vehicle distance being a distance between the dog and the guidance vehicle. The electronic control unit is configured to execute a travel control of the guidance vehicle. The electronic control unit includes, as one of modes of the travel control, a walk guidance mode that causes the guidance vehicle to automatically travel along a walk route while guiding the dog to walk. The walk guidance mode executed by the electronic control unit includes a basic walk mode that controls the dog-to-vehicle distance so as to maintain a constant distance when the dog is moving along the walk route.

Leash attachment

A leash attachment and method for using the leash attachment are provided. The leash attachment has a built-in flip open cup that allows an animal to drink from the flip open cup once liquid is expelled to the distal end of the cup via a nozzle. Unused liquid from the flip open cup drains back via a funnel into the leash attachment by way of a fill hole. The leash attachment attaches to a leash via a rolling cam with ridges on the cam's outer surface.

The retractable leash is locked in place, thus pulling back on the pet and preventing the pet from crashing in the vehicle or being thrown out of the vehicle.

The present invention provides a releasable catch, such as for releasable attachment to a dog collar or the like. In particular, the present invention provides a releasable catch comprising a body having a first elongate portion and a second elongate portion, the first and second elongate portions being engaged with one another at a pivot region and pivotable relative to one another about the pivot region between an open configuration in which the second elongate portion contacts the first elongate portion at a first contact location to define a first closed aperture adjacent the pivot region and a second open aperture distal to the pivot region, and a closed configuration in which the second elongate portion also engages the first elongate portion at a second contact location along its length and close the second aperture distal to the pivot region, and wherein the second elongate member is biased in a direction towards the second contact location so as to bias the catch in the closed configuration. Also provided is a dog lead comprising an elongate flexible portion engaged with such a releasable catch.
