The container also comprises a resealable label configured to open and close the inner package when the lid of the housing is opened and closed, wherein the resealable lable is positioned adjacent the inner surface of the front wall of the lid. The container also comprises an insert comprising a line of weakness and a communication portion, wherein the insert is coupled to the resealable label to maintain connection of the insert with the container until the line of weakness is broken.
Aerial package delivery system
Systems and methods for delivering packages via aerial vehicles are disclosed. The system can comprise a label that includes a parachute to enable the packages to be dropped from the aerial vehicle, yet land at the package's destination without damage. The system can include a self-adhesive backing, a plurality of parachute cords, a parachute, and a breakaway cover. The parachute cords can include a shock absorber to reduce the shock on the package of the parachute opening. The parachute and/or the breakaway cover can include graphics to provide address, velocity, or spin information for the package. The parachute cords can include a harness to separate the cords and reduce tangling of the cords and spinning of the parachute canopy with respect to the package.
CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR STORAGE AND TRANSPORT OF SUPPORTED CONTENTS
A container for transporting an item is provided having an outer case member erectable from a collapsed configuration to an erected configuration and at least one erectable support member fixedly attached to the outer case member. The support member may include: a first base panel; a second base panel foldably coupled to the first base panel to form a folded, dual-layer structure; a first functional portion foldably coupled to the first base panel and being foldable to form a structure to at least one of partially support or partially secure the item to be transported within the outer case member; and a second functional portion foldably coupled to the second base panel and being foldable to form another structure to at least one of partially support or partially secure the item to be transported within the outer case member. Methods of packaging and transporting an item in a container are also provided.
RESEALABLE CONTAINER INCLUDING INSERT
Containers that comprise a housing 12 that comprises a box 14 and a lid 20 that is hingedly attached to the box. The lid comprises a front wall 24 that has an inner surface 22, an outer surface 26 and a bottom edge. The container also comprises an inner package 30 disposed at least partially within the housing 12 and at least partially defining an interior volume for housing consumer goods. The inner package 30 comprises a first layer 40 and a second layer 50. The first layer 40 comprises a flap 44 which is attached to the inner surface 22 of the lid 20 and is configured to be releasably attached to a sealing region 72 of the second layer 50 to open and close the inner package by opening and closing the lid of the container. The container also comprises an insert 60 positioned between the inner surface 17 of the front wall 16 of the box 14 and the outer surface 33 of the front wall 32 of the inner package 30. The insert is positioned entirely below the sealing region 72 and is positioned so that the lowest point of the upper edge 21 of the box is lower than the highest point of the upper edge 35 of the insert.
RESEALABLE CONTAINER INCLUDING INSERT
A container comprises a housing 12 that comprises a box 14 and a lid 20 that is hingedly attached to the box. The lid 20 comprises a front wall 24 that has an inner surface 22, an outer surface 26 and a bottom edge. The box comprises a front wall 16 that has an upper edge 21 and an access region 62. At least some portion of the upper edge 21 of the box is formed by at least some portion of the access region 62. The container also comprises an inner package 30 disposed at least partially within the housing and at least partially defining an interior volume for housing consumer goods. The inner package 30 comprises a first layer 40 and a second layer 50. The first layer 40 comprises a flap 44 which is attached to the inner surface of the lid and is configured to be releasably attached to a sealing region 72 of the second layer 50 to open and close the inner package by opening and closing the lid of the container. The container also comprises an insert 60 positioned between the inner surface 17 of the front wall 16 of the box and the outer surface 32 of the front wall 31 of the inner package. The insert 60 has an upper edge 35 which is accessible via the access region 62.
RESEALABLE CONTAINER INCLUDING INSERT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
Methods include cutting an inner liner (30) that has an outer surface and an inner surface to form an opening (54) of an inner package. First, an insert (60) is applied to the outer surface of the inner liner. Thereafter, a resealable label (45) is applied over both a portion of the insert and a portion of the outer surface of the inner liner. The inner surface of the resealable label has a sealing area (46) and a non-sealing area (47) and only the non-sealing area is disposed on the insert. A bundle of consumer goods is formed by wrapping the consumer goods with the inner liner. A container (10) is formed around the bundle of consumer goods so that the insert is positioned between the inner liner and the container. Containers formed using such methods are also disclosed.
AUTO OPENING CIGARETTE PACK OUTSERT
An outsert for affixing to a product package includes a base layer, a top layer, and a printed document. The base layer includes a perforated region arranged to be aligned with a tear tape on an outer wrapping of the package. The top layer is arranged on the base layer and has one or more edge regions adhered to the base layer. The printed document is enclosed in an inner volume established between the base layer and top layer. A laminate layer can be disposed in the inner volume between the top layer and the printed document to increase the rigidity of the outsert.
