A method of erecting a carton from a blank, including: engaging the blank with a punch head against which the carton is formed, folding side portions of the blank against the punch head to form sides of the carton; folding outer portions of the side portions of the blank away from the punch head and against an external side of the carton; folding end portions of the blank against the punch head to form end portions of the carton; folding outer portions of the end portions of the blank away from the punch head and against an external end of the carton; and securing corner gussets formed between the side and end portions against sides or ends of the carton.

Each side has a proximal end that is contiguous with the container bottom and a distal end that is configured to fold into a bonding surface and a reinforced portion. The bonding surface and the reinforced portion each include two layers of the container material. The tray container has a perimeter bonding surface that includes each bonding surface of the container sides. A support ring is attached to the perimeter bonding surface, defining a cover bonding surface to which a film or mesh cover may be bonded.

The present disclosure provides a coating composition useful as a coating on food cans, and particularly as interior white or gold food can coatings. The coating composition includes a polyester polymer preferably having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of less than 10,000, a glass transition temperature (Tg) of more than 60° C., and a hydroxyl value greater than 10 mg KOH/g resin. The polyester preferably includes one or more cyclic groups selected from a monocyclic group having five ring members or less, a polycyclic group, or both, preferably in a backbone of the polyester polymer.

The invention includes a child resistant package having a first panel and at least two second panels joined to the first panel. The first and second panels are in different planes, in an embodiment. The package includes a peelable flap portion covering an access point into the package, wherein the peelable flap portion has at least one tab continuous therewith. The at least one tab is disposed on one of the second panels and the access point is disposed in the first panel. In an embodiment, at least one decoy tab is also disposed on one of the second panels.

Blanks for forming clamshell containers and the resulting clamshell containers are described. The clamshell containers include a tray and a lid that are hingedly connected together. The tray is liquid tight, and typically includes gussets on each corner to prevent leakage. The lid and tray can be locked via at least one locking mechanism, optionally two different locking mechanisms. A first locking mechanism involves a front panel on the tray, with an extension portion that terminates in a hook or tab. The extension portion can fold over the front panel of the lid, and the hook or tabs slide into a slit(s) on the top of the lid. An optional second locking mechanism involves lid detents and tray detents. In some embodiments, in the locked position, the lid detents are underneath the tray detents and the tray detents retain the lid detents in place until a force is applied.
