Bottom Chime and Beverage Keg
20200062443 · 2020-02-27 · ·

The present invention relates to a bottom chime for a beverage keg. The bottom chime is configured to be push fitted onto the keg, and to subsequently be removable from the keg, for example to enable recycling of the bottom chime separately to the keg. The bottom chime comprises a plurality of inwardly extending engagement elements that are configured to form a snap fit engagement with a corresponding plurality of recesses provided in the body of the keg.

PALLETISED CONTAINER ASSEMBLIES AND CONTAINERS FOR USE THEREIN

A palletised container assembly includes a pallet providing a base, and a group of containers (1) are arranged and supported on the pallet with a wrapping band stretched around the containers to hold them together. Each of the containers has a container (body 2), two chimes (3), (4) secured to the top and bottom ends of the container body, and a valve assembly (8) which incorporates a draw tube (8a) extending within the container body. Each chime has a substantially circular peripheral outer wall (9), (10) which, at its widest point, is provided with a series of circumferentially-spaced projections (15) which engage the projections of adjacent containers to restrict relative movement between the containers in transit.

Self-drilling, self-tapping bone screw

A self-drilling, self-tapping bone screw is described in which the bone screw has a drill tip free of threads and having a length at least as great as about the thickness of a proximal cortical bone layer, with the drill tip having opposed lands and a helical flute between each of the lands with each of the lands having a cutting edge configured to cut bone as the drill tip is rotated into the bone with the flutes conveying the bone debris away from the drill tip, where a lead thread begins to self-tap internal threads in the proximal cortical bone layer after the drill tip has drilled through the proximal cortical bone layer so as to avoid stripping the threads formed in the bone layer. A method of installation is also disclosed.

TopSink: Liquid Storage Device with Automatic Discharge in High Volume Batches
20240061451 · 2024-02-22 ·

TopSink: Liquid Storage Device with Automatic Discharge in High Volume Batches is a liquid storage device that automatically discharges excess liquid in preset volumes. By releasing surplus liquid from below the surface, TopSink prevents air from entering the discharge line, which significantly improves the heador flow forcein the line. With no air in the line, and with the liquid being released at high volumes, the discharged liquid is able to travel a further distanceeven over an inclinewithout external inputs like electricity. This advantage is in contrast with traditional overflow designs, which merely have a standpipe that enables excess water to trickle out of the line as the level rises. This allows air into the system, causing excess water to pool in the line and travel a minimal distance, TopSink solves this problem by releasing the energy of stored water in high volume bursts, from below the liquid's surface.

Emergency response containment vessel

An emergency response containment vessel includes a sealing barrel and a carrier module for carrying and moving the sealing barrel. The sealing barrel includes a barrel body, a cover module, and a plurality of fastening modules. The barrel body includes a bottom wall and a surrounding wall connected to and surrounding the bottom wall, and has an opening opposite to the bottom wall. The cover module includes a cover pivotably connected to the surrounding wall, removably covering the opening, and formed with a plurality of notches. The fastening modules are connected to the surrounding wall and correspond in position respectively to the notches, and each including a stem removably disposed in and extending through a corresponding one of the notches and an abutment head movably connected to the stem and operable to move relative to and abut against the cover to press the cover on the surrounding wall when the cover covers the opening.

Embodiments described herein include layered mesh containers and methods for using the containers to safely transport and dispose of airbag inflators having ammonium-nitrate-based propellant. For example, a container with at least two single-layer sidewalls is provided that can hold multiple airbag inflators and withstand up to 4 moles of matter being deployed from an inflator having ammonium-nitrate-based propellant. The container can contain the inflator and any shrapnel associated with the explosion while also venting gases expelled as a result of the explosion. Various container designs are provided, along with methods for using these containers.

A beverage containment, carbonation and serving system and method whereby the system is limited dimensionally to be placed and used inside of and fit within a standard shelving space of a conventional refrigerator. The beverage containment, carbonation and serving system and method comprises a horizontally positioned vessel, a vessel base, gas inlet and liquid outlet ports, a liquid dip tube extending from the outlet port of the vessel to the intersecting point of the vessel bottom and the opposite vessel end, an integral faucet with a vertically low-profile activation handle and an interlocking removable drip tray at one end of the vessel for liquid serving purposes.

BARREL AND COVER ASSEMBLY WITH LIMITED CONTACT
20190276188 · 2019-09-12 ·

Barrel-with-cover assembly has a barrel and a cover covering at least a portion of the barrel outside surface. Cover has at least one open end. A means for gathering the cover maintains the open end of the cover in limited contact against the outer surface of the barrel. This limited contact, alone or in combination with a liquid exit port, allows liquid that collects between the cover and the barrel to escape, reducing hoop rusting. The assembly is used in a process for aging an alcoholic beverage in the barrel. The film from which the cover is made can have a low ethanol transmission rate and a high oxygen transmission rate, producing organoleptic results similar to uncovered control barrel.
