SQUIRREL BUNGEE APPARATUS
20170251632 · 2017-09-07 ·

A squirrel bungee apparatus is shown. A first plate member is suspended from an overhead structure. A second plate member is pivotally secured to the first plate member whereby the first and second plate members may be moved between first and second positions. A torsion spring interconnects the first and second plate members and yieldably maintains the first and second plate members in their first position. An elongated flexible chain has its upper end secured to the second plate member and has a food item or the like at the lower end thereof. When a squirrel jumps onto the food item, the weight of the squirrel causes the first and second plate members to move from their first position to their second position thereby causing the food item and the squirrel to move downwardly and thence upwardly in a bungee fashion due to the action of the torsion spring.

System for Feeding and Photographing Wildlife
20170195551 · 2017-07-06 · ·

Apparatus for feeding and photographing birds and other wildlife includes a housing defining one or more feeding stations. A module containing a sensor to detect the presence of birds and a camera is configured so that the sensor and the camera have overlapping fields of view. Mounting structures on the housing locate the module with respect to the one or more feeding stations to position the sensor and camera so that the area surrounding one or more of the feeding stations is within the fields of view of the sensor and the camera.

Suet feeder
20170164585 · 2017-06-15 ·

A suet feeder which comprises an inner frame, a tray sized to receive a suet pack, the tray being slidably mounted on the frame, a suet support member which is mounted on the frame, the tray being slidable past the suet support member, and a shroud extending over the frame and tray and suet support member, the shroud having a wall which extends over the tray and suet support member, the wall having a feed opening therein with a relatively closed area of the shroud being located above the feed opening, the arrangement being such that the feed opening is normally located proximate an upper portion of the suet support member such that access may be had to a lower portion of a suet pack mounted on the suet support member.

BIRD FEEDER HAVING INTEGRATED PERCHES
20250255278 · 2025-08-14 ·

The present disclosure provides a bird feeder having a seed container, seed tray, shroud, cover as well as integrated perches. The integrated perches provide less breakage and easier handling of the bird feeder, as the pivot point of the perches is not easily accessible by an operator or a bird.

Dial-a-beak
12471574 · 2025-11-18 ·

An adjustable bird feeder designed to regulate access to food based on the beak length and feeding behavior of different bird species. The feeder includes at least one food cage positioned within a frame and at least one movable face located adjacent to the food cage. A user-operated adjustment mechanism, comprising a threaded rod and control knob, moves the face toward or away from the food cage. In the spring-assisted configuration, compression springs provide controlled face retraction. In the single-cage configuration, the face is adjusted without springs, utilizing guide rails for stability. The feeder's design allows the food cage to be aligned or offset with the front grill to adjust the aperture size. Integrated crumb collection trays and aluminum fittings provide structural protection and durability. The feeder accommodates various food types, including suet, seeds, and nuts, by modifying the cage design. The configuration deters squirrels through controlled spatial access.
