BAFFLE ASSEMBLIES FOR POLE
A baffle assembly for a pole includes a clamping structure adapted to be positioned about a pole. The clamping structure includes a plurality of laterally spaced mounting hooks removably joined along the longitudinal axis. The plurality of laterally spaced mounting hooks extends from a proximal end to a distal end defining a length of the clamping structure. A mounting strap includes a first end attached to the proximal end of the clamping structure. The mounting strap extends to a second end and includes a fastener formed thereon. A bell housing includes opposing open ends. The bell housing is positioned about the pole and about the clamping structure wherein the bell housing is supported by the mounting hooks. The length of the clamping structure is adjusted by removal of selected mounting hooks of the plurality of laterally spaced mounting hooks from the distal end.

Bird feeder with adjustable shroud
A bird feeder which comprises a seed container having at least one seed port to permit birds to have access to seed, a shroud extending about the seed port, the shroud being movable between a first position wherein access to the seed port is enabled and a second position wherein access to the seed port is denied, a base member being secured to the seed container, a hollow tube extending upwardly from the base member and being located internally of the seed container, a rod extending within the hollow tube and a spring extending about a portion of the rod, the rod having a flange extending outwardly to bias a first end of the spring, an insert secured to the base member, the insert extending upwardly into the hollow tube with a second end of the spring being biased against the insert, the rod having a lower end secured against a bottom portion of the shroud such that when a weight is placed on the shroud, the shroud moves downwardly to the second position.
Bird Feeder With Elastomeric Feed Port
An elastomeric feed port and a bird feeder having a seed reservoir with a seed opening fitted with such an elastomeric feed port is provided. The feed port has an elastomeric seed control membrane with a cutout that forms at least one aperture through which birds can access seed in the reservoir. The cutout is shaped to create flexible flaps or fingers adjacent the aperture in the membrane that partially cover the seed opening to reduce seed spillage but that can be pushed aside or temporarily deformed by a bird when the bird inserts its beak into the cutout aperture to access seed therethrough.
Center Balanced Suet Bird Feeder
The technology involved in this bird feeder is simply the resultant of naturally occurring consequences of applying force to a centrally balanced device. When any device, in this case a bird feeder, is hanging from its central point of balance any force applied to any point on the perimeter of this device will cause a condition of unbalancing the device. This force causing the unbalancing results in the whole device tilting away from the force applied instantaneously. In this case that is desirable to thwart squirrels from getting a foothold on the suet container thus denying them the feast they are seeking.
WILD BIRD TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHODS
A wild bird treatment system includes an enclosure for accommodating a plurality of wild coveying birds targeted for treatment with at least one ground level entrance of a size and location to permit the targeted birds to freely enter and exit the enclosure while excluding non-targeted animals. An electronic bird caller for attracting wild coveying birds is provided. A feeder assembly, slidably removable from the enclosure, includes a slider assembly and a feed hopper. The slider assembly, slidably removable from the feeder assembly, includes a feed plate assembly and a feed slide for controlling flow of medicated feed. The feed plate assembly, slidably removable from the slider assembly, includes a feed plate of a size and a food delivery box with outlets of a size to control the rate of medicated feed released from the feed hopper specific to the birds targeted for treatment.
SMALL SEED CONVERTER FOR BIRD FEEDER
Implementations described and claimed herein provide apparatuses and methods for facilitating filling and cleaning of bird feeders that are aesthetically pleasing and adaptable for attracting different types of birds. In one implementation, a bird feeder includes a port having a surface extending from a proximal end to a distal end. The proximal end has a connecting portion configured to connect to a reservoir. The surface has one or more openings defined therein. A small seed converter is insertable into the port, and the small seed converter includes a plurality of teeth extending from an edge. The plurality of teeth are configured to narrow the one or more openings for dispensing small sized seed.
CRITTER-PROOF BIRD FEEDER APPARATUS
A critter-proof bird feed apparatus includes a critter deterrent barrier/deflector assembly that attaches to the top of a bird feeder and prevents critters from accessing the bird feeder when the combined apparatus is hung up. The critter deterrent barrier/deflector assembly includes a connecting cable having a first end attached to the bird feeder and a second end for attaching to a pole, bracket, or other support structure above. The critter deterrent barrier/deflector assembly includes a deflector plate that extends in a lateral/horizontal direction. The deflector plate has a larger width than the bird feeder and block a view of the bird feeder from above the deflector plate. The critter deterrent barrier/deflector assembly includes a plurality of inverted, overlapping cones extending above the deflector plate, and preventing a critter from gripping onto the cones.
Raised Feeder Guard
The present disclosure describes a novel guard used to protect an electronic feeder on a raised feed bin by partially enclosing the feeder. In some implementations, the guard is at least partially constructed of expanded steel. In some implementations described herein, the guard is further protected from the elements by a coating. The disclosure describes how the novel guard in some implementations comprises mounting brackets that are used to attach the guard to the underside of the feed bin in a position that partially encloses the feeder. The invention prevents varmints from accessing the feed and feeder distribution components, thus preventing feed waste and consumption by varmints such as raccoons. Yet, the guard does not obstruct or impede access to the programmable timing unit and other control mechanisms of the feeder.
Bird feeder
A bird feeder which comprises a seed tube having an open top end and an open lower end, a cover arranged to sit on top of the open top end, the cover being removably attached to the seed tube, a seed tube base secured at the seed tube open lower end, the seed tube base having a circular side wall and feed openings formed therein, a shroud extending about the seed tube lower end, the shroud having feed openings therein which are normally aligned with the feed openings in the circular side wall of the seed tube base, the shroud moving to a position wherein the shroud feed openings and the feed openings in the seed tube are out of alignment when a weight above a predetermined weight is present on the shroud, and a baffle formed integrally with the shroud, the baffle being located above the feed openings in the shroud.
