The present invention relates generally to a safety-enhanced can lid, and more particularly to a safety-enhanced can lid in which a prevention portion configured to prevent a user's hand from being cut is provided along the edge of the lid that is coupled to seal a can, thereby enabling safe use. For this purpose, the present invention provides a can lid that is coupled to the top side of a container in which contents are stored, the can lid including: a plate laid to cover the top portion of the container, composed of a flat plate, and provided with a pull tab on the top surface thereof; and a hand-cut prevention portion including a cut prevention wall bent downward from the edge of the plate toward the container.

The second layer (3) comprises or consists of a weldable material and the first layer (2) has higher tear strength than the second layer (2). The base points (6a,6b) are arranged at a base end (7b) of the pull-tab (7), opposite to a gripping end (7a) of the pull-tab (7).

The lid includes an outer raised portion having an integrally connected inner recessed portion formed therein, wherein the inner recessed portion includes a peelable flap portion partially detachable from the inner recessed portion for lifting the peelable flap upwardly from the inner recessed portion; an upper flange extending perpendicularly outward from a perimeter of the lid and having a connecting member located between extending latching portions extending outwardly from the upper flange and adapted for being received in the two latch receiving openings; and a tab connected to the peelable flap portion on a first end and detachably connected to the connecting member on a second end, where the tab is configured for pushing inward to detach the second end from the connecting member allowing the peelable flap portion to be lifted upwardly.

The remaining bottom portion may be configured to store and display articles, such as binders, on a shelf. The top portion may be discarded. A tab and pull flap may be defined by the dieline and allow the user to easily remove the top portion from the bottom portion. The user may depress the tab to grasp the pull flap and perforate the remaining portions along the dieline.
