LID FOR CONTAINERS OF SUBSTANCES, AND CONTAINER OF SUBSTANCES COMPRISING SAID LID
Lid for a metal container (11) able to contain a substance, comprising: a closing cap (12) defined by at least one incision or pre-cut line (13), able to allow the closing cap to be lifted and at least partly torn, an opening lever (14) disposed astride the incision line (13) and comprising a front fulcrum end (15) and an intermediate region (16) provided with a flexible tongue (17) attached to the closing cap (12), a mechanical element (18) located in proximity to the incision line (13), configured to mechanically attach the flexible tongue (17) to the closing cap (12) and configured to cooperate with said flexible tongue (17); the incision line (13) having at the front, in the zone where the closing cap (12) starts to be lifted and torn, a portion (19) protruding outward, toward the front fulcrum end (15) of the opening lever (14), the protruding portion (19) having, on both sides, segments (20) of the incision line (13) which move away from said mechanical element (18) as far as respective deformation zones (21), caused by compression of the incision line (13).
SEAM SEAL FOR WINE IN BEVERAGE CANS
A can end (10) for a two-piece beverage container (1) has a public side (32) opposite a product side (34). A cured coating (76) is on the product side (34) of the can end (10) and forms a substantially continuous thin layer thereon. A circumferential curl (12) is centered about a longitudinal axis (50). A circumferential chuckwall (14) extends downwardly from the curl (12). A circumferential U-shaped countersink (16) is located downwardly from the chuckwall (14). The countersink (16) has an annular bead defining a lowermost vertical extent of the can end (10). A center panel (18) is located radially inwardly from the countersink (16) and is centered about the longitudinal axis (50). The center panel (18) has a means for providing an opening in the can end (10). A circumferential second coating (92) forms an annular layer on the product side (34) of the circumferential curl (12) and the cured coating (76). The second coating (92) provides a layer on one or more fractures in the cured coating (76).
REMOVABLE MAGNETIC LID FOR A CONTAINER
There is provided herein a removable magnetic lid for a container, which lid contains a magnet which forms either the entire lid or a substantial portion thereof, and which magnet can be removed from the container and placed on a metal object to display text or advertising present on the magnet. There is also provided a lidded storage container which contains the removable magnetic lid, and a method of removing a magnet from the removable magnetic lid.
CAN PROTECTOR AND CAP
Provided herein is a re-usable device that would allow for the export of, or consumption of liquid without having to remove the device from the can such as the aluminum beverage can and that would also seal the liquid inside a beverage can. A water-resistant or water-proof, insect-proof, dirt-proof synthetic cap is provided that is to be attached to the lip area of the open mouth of can or other open mouth container, such as metal, plastic or an aluminum beverage can.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER HAVING A PRESSURE-RELIEF DEVICE AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A BEVERAGE CONTAINER HAVING A PRESSURE-RELIEF DEVICE
The present invention relates to a container assembly for accommodating a beverage. The container assembly comprises a collapsible beverage container having a body part for accommodating the beverage and a cylindrical neck part defining a gas-filled headspace. The container assembly further comprises a closure sealing off an opening of the cylindrical neck part. The closure comprises a closure disc, an inner cylindrical part and an outer cylindrical part. The closure disc comprises a beverage outlet for extracting the beverage. The closure further comprises a pressure-relief device located at the closure disc or the inner cylindrical part. The pressure-relief device is capable of establishing a permanent or reclosable opening through the closure or between the closure and the neck part for allowing a flow of fluid from the headspace to an external space when a pressure difference exceeds a predetermined pressure value being lower than the burst pressure of the container.
CONTAINER WITH NESTED RESERVOIRS FOR SIMULTANEOUS CONTENT DELIVERY
A liquid storage and dispensing device having at least two internal reservoirs to store two discrete liquids and to dispense the two liquids through a single opening without mixing the liquids until exiting the single opening, the device including a container to store a first liquid and a first reservoir mounted under the lid of the container that stores a second liquid, and an opening mechanism on the top that creates a pour opening in the top and removes a seal from the first reservoir to enable simultaneous dispensing of the first and second liquids through the pour opening while maintaining separation of the first and second liquids until they exit the pour opening.
Multi-Compartment Containers
Multi-compartment containers in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a device for storing multiple fluids in multiple compartments comprises a first compartment for storing a first fluid, a second compartment for storing a second fluid, wherein the second compartment is within the first compartment, a lid of the first compartment comprising a first aperture and a second aperture; and a holding lattice for holding the second compartment against the lid of the first compartment, wherein the second compartment is aligned with the second aperture of the lid.
Can end
A can end has a public side and an opposing product side. A circumferential curl is located about a center axis and defines an outer perimeter of the can end. A circumferential wall extends downwardly from the curl. A circumferential, generally U-shaped countersink extends radially inwardly from the circumferential wall relative to the center axis and upwardly. A center panel extends radially inwardly from the countersink relative to the center axis and has a displaceable tear panel defined by frangible score and a hinge segment on the public side and a tab fixed to the public side which has a nose portion overlying a portion of the displaceable tear panel. A circumferential panel joins the countersink with the center panel and has a first panel radius joined to a second panel radius by a short wall extending upwardly and inwardly. The circumferential panel has a bead formed therein.
ECOLOGY TAB, CAN END, TOOLING AND METHOD
A reduced length ecology tab is provided for a can end. The can end includes an end panel and a rivet affixing the tab to the end panel. The tab includes a body having first and second opposing ends, and a length measured by the distance between the first end and the second end. A nose portion is disposed at or about the first end, and a lift portion is disposed at or about the second end. The length of the tab is less than 0.985 inch.
