COMPOSITE CONTAINER WITH PEELABLE MEMBRANE
A composite container is provided for holding products (e.g., stacked chips). The container includes a tubular body and a peelable membrane. The tubular body is made of at least one paperboard body ply having an inner surface and a metallized Oriented Polypropylene (mOPP) liner ply adhered to the inner surface of the paperboard body ply. A liner sealant is disposed on the inner surface of the mOPP liner ply, and the paperboard body ply and the mOPP liner ply are rolled outwardly to form a rim. The membrane, which has a membrane sealant on its inner surface, is sealed to the liner sealant in the area of the rim to close the container. When the membrane is peeled away, the membrane sealant and the liner sealant remain sealed to each other and cause separation within the mOPP liner ply, avoiding tearing and exposure of the paperboard in the rim.
PEELABLE LID FOR CONTAINER WITH MULTI-POINT PEEL SYSTEM
A peelable lid system includes a peelable lid, a seal configured to seal the peelable lid to a container, a handle coupled to the peelable lid, and a lifting mechanism coupled to handle. The lifting mechanism can be coupled to the peelable lid at a plurality of attachment points, including at least one attachment point coupled to the peelable lid away from the handle. The lifting mechanism can be configured to lift at least one portion of the peelable lid near each of the plurality of attachment points.
Expandable container having lid for providing headspace control in a food can
The invention relates to lids for cans for receiving foodstuff which are to be subjected to a thermal treatment above 50 C. as sterilization or at least pasteurization. The lid (1) has an annular ring (2) seamable to the can body which ring can be firmly and sealingly connected with the can body rim portion and a cover panel (3) which is sealingly disposed (13) to said ring. The annular ring comprises a flat web (6) that points towards a vertical central axis (8) of the lid and is axially outwardly inclined (11) with respect to a horizontal plane (15). The cover panel (3) is sealed to the flat inclined web by means of a radially outer ring band (3a). A central area (3b) that is surrounded by the ring band is axially inwardly preformed towards an interior in a dome or bowl-shaped fashion and thereby stabilized. After closing of the can, it is subjected to the thermal treatment. Upon a change in pressure (in the closed can) occurring during this thermal treatment the cover panel changes from the preformed position (3b) to an axially outwardly directed bowl/dome-shaped position (3b). After cooling the closed can, the cover panel (3) returnsat least substantially exactlyinto its preformed position.
CONTAINER
A container (210) for holding granular or powdered material and formed by a top wall (212), a bottom wall (214), a front wall (216), a rear wall (218), a first side wall (220), and a second side wall (222). A rotatably removable lid (D) is interiorly mounted with a scoop (32) and is pivotally hinged to a collar (300) that includes a sealing gasket (330). The collar (300) mounts to the walls of the container (210). A sealing wall 240 of the lid (D) cooperates with the gasket 300 to prevent the contents from spilling. The container (210) incorporates powder control features, a container wall junction (50) preferred geometry and congruent scoop (32) enabling convenient access to the contents, a tolerance variation accommodating and strength improving, J-shaped collar (300) and interlocking indentations (290) and flex clips (310), and a pressure controlling portion (350) that prevents unwanted deformation due to pressure differentials.

PEELABLE RESEALABLE MEMBRANE FOR CONTAINERS
The invention comprises a peelable membrane for resealably closing a metal end comprising an outer layer, a tacky layer, and a heat seal layer. The heat seal layer is permanently sealed to the metal end to cover at least one opening in the metal end. The tacky layer causes the peelable membrane to be resealable onto the metal end.
Packaging product and method of closing a packaging product
A packaging product and a method of closing a packaging product are provided. Closing a packaging product may include providing a first member of the packaging product having an aperture therein and providing a bubble rivet extending through the aperture and having an expanded hollow head portion on one side of the aperture with a neck portion of the bubble rivet being provided in the aperture. The hollow head portion of the bubble rivet is breakable to enable withdrawal of the head portion through the aperture thereby non-reversibly opening the packaging product.
TAMPER-EVIDENT PEELABLE CLOSURE ATTACHMENT
Various arrangements of a packaging lock system are presented. In some embodiments, the packaging lock system include a sleeve that defines a cutout region. The system can further include a packaging box sized to slide within the sleeve. The system further includes a peelable closure attachment that includes multiple layers. Such layers can include: a top layer in contact with an outside surface of the sleeve; a first adhesive layer that adheres to the top layer and a middle layer; and a second adhesive layer that adheres to the middle layer and to the packaging box.
