Egg carton with diagonal lid panel
A plastic egg carton having features that enable aligning and stacking of multiple cartons for transport, and providing easy-to-view print and labeling areas in multiple directions. In one embodiment, the egg carton has a unique lid including a flat diagonal stacking panel (also referred to as a diagonal lid panel) that extends between two opposing corners of the rectangular shaped carton. The top wall of the diagonal lid panel can receive labeling or printing. The diagonal lid panel also includes a sidewall extending downwardly from the top wall toward a bottom perimeter edge of the lid, the sidewall having at each of the two opposing corners at least one flat side panel that can also receive printing or labeling. In one embodiment, each of the opposing corners includes a rounded corner portion and two flat side panels disposed on either side of the rounded corner, thus providing a total of four side viewing areas (each in a different direction) for labeling or printing, enabling the consumer to view information such as egg size, date, nutritional information, retail information, or UPC labels.
STORAGE CONTAINER SYSTEMS
A container system includes a first container including a bottom wall, at least one sidewall, and an open top, with a plurality of indented recesses formed in the bottom wall. A first lid closes the open top of the first container. A second container includes a bottom wall, at least one sidewall, and an open top. A second lid closes the open top of the second container, with a push indicator structure formed at a center portion of the second lid, and with a plurality of registration bumps formed about the push indicator structure. The first container is stackable on the second lid such that (i) each of the registration bumps in the second lid is aligned with an adjacent one of the recesses in the bottom wall of the first container and (ii) surfaces of the registration bumps are spaced from surfaces of the adjacent recesses.
Lid with hidden stacking
A kit of thermoformed lids comprising a three lids which are substantially similar except for specific differences in four stacking areas located at the corners of the lids. Unlike prior art lids that use convex external lugs to provide separation during stacking, lids according to the present invention have stacking areas formed as interruptions in concave channels located along the peripheries of the lids, improving the appearance and uniformity of products comprising the lids.
CONTAINER ASSEMBLY
An assembly of containers, hand-holdable containers, and shaker cups includes magnetic elements to couple one or more components of the assembly to one another, the assembly of containers including a first container having a first cup with a first magnet positioned in a closed bottom end thereof, and a second container having a lid with a second magnet, complementary to the first magnet, positioned in a top end thereof.
COMBINATION BOTTLE AND SYSTEM
A combination bottle and system for devising combination bottles for the retention of liquids and other pliable items is provided. A base container unit with an open mouth is configured to retain liquids and exhibits a base unit perimeter lip with an attachment configuration and the base container unit may be combined with various capacity adding units which have perimeter lips with a variety of attachment configurations that allow attachment between the base unit and the capacity-adding unit(s). The base container unit may be combined either alone or with various numbers of capacity adding units with one or more top units that have top unit perimeter lips with top unit attachment configurations mateable with the various constituent members of the combination bottle system. Various top units are provided which exhibit functional end selected from the group of: sippy cup functional end, straw functional end, and nipple functional end. By varying the size of perimeter lips and projection aspect, necks may be created in constituted bottles providing convenient hand-holds. Some embodiments of the present invention are also directed to kits that include various bottle components suitable for particular applications. Some embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method for assembling a combination bottle from a combination bottle system and changing the capacity (volume) of the combination bottle on-the-go by interchanging components of the combination bottle system.
Transport container
The invention relates to a transport container (1) having an interior (4) which is delimited by a container base (2) comprising guide receptacles and by a container cover (3) which is opposite the container base (2) and from which there project guide bodies (6) on the cover outer side (5) opposite the interior. In order to create a transport container of the type described at the outset which can be stacked reliably and quickly with other transport containers, irrespective of their dimensions, for safe transport in such a way that additional transport securing by separate aids can be dispensed with, it is proposed that the guide bodies (6) having latching recesses (7) are arranged at a distance from one another in a grid, in that, for the releasable fastening of an adjacent transport container (1), a latching device is provided which has latching hooks (8) displaceable along an engagement direction for engagement in the latching recesses (7), and in that the guide bodies (6) within the guide receptacles are limited in the engagement direction.
LID WITH PYLONS FOR SUPPORTING CROSS BEAMS
A lid for a container or tote has a main body with pylons. The pylons are arranged on the lid to provide a first pylon adjacent to a second pylon. The first and second pylons may each have a plurality of platforms that can support and stabilize a cross beam such as a board placed in between them. The platforms may include a first platform, a second platform, and a third platform. The first platform is horizontally spaced apart from the second platform, and the second platform is horizontally spaced apart from the third platform. The first platform is vertically spaced apart from the second platform, and the second platform is vertically spaced apart from the third platform. Corresponding ones of the platforms on the adjacent pylons may be disposed on a same plane so as to provide a planar or flat surface for receiving the cross beam.
Transportable container
In an embodiment, a transportable container may include a container portion with an opening into an interior space; a lid for closing the opening; a handle for carrying the container; and a pivotable side latch, pivotally connected to the lid, moveable between a retaining position and a storage position. The pivotable side latch may be configured to engage a retaining structure of another container when the pivotable side latch is in the retaining position. The pivotable side latch may be configured to be in a depression of the lid when the pivotable side latch is in the storage position. With the container in an upright position, the pivotable side latch may move toward the depression when the pivotable side latch is released from the retaining position. The container portion may include a retaining structure with an upward-projecting lip configured to engage a pivotable side latch of a further container.
Lid and knob configured for stacking
A pot or pan lid is configured for stacking with identical or differently sized lids that have an identical handle or knob with a dimple on the upper surface. The side of the lid opposite the handle has a complimentary protrusion configured to stably engage the dimple. The edge of the knob may extend laterally to correspond with the lid curvature to also support a similar lid on the knob perimeter that is distal from the dimple. The engaged central dimple and more distal perimeter of the knob provide for stable stacking of a plurality of lids in a level arrangement that avoids one or more lids tipping over.
