PORTABLE NIPPLE BASED ANIMAL WATERER
A portable animal waterer includes a bulbous manifold formed from a manifold wall, a connector formed from an extension of the bulbous manifold, a first valve hole on the bulbous manifold in the manifold wall and a second valve hole on the bulbous manifold in the manifold wall, substantially opposite to the first valve hole. The first valve hole is configured to receive a first valve and the second valve hole is configured to receive a second valve.
Apparatus for Raising Hatchlings Including a Paper Strip
In an apparatus for raising chickens from hatchlings including a barn having a floor and walls there is provided a plurality of rows of feed stations arranged at spaced positions across the floor each with a feed supply line connected along the row for dispensing feed to each of the feed stations and a plurality of rows of water supply stations each with a water supply line connected along the row for dispensing water to each of the water supply stations where rows of stations are connected to a lift system for raising the stations from the floor. A first strip of biodegradable paper sheet is unrolled along the floor of the barn underneath the row of feed stations and a second strip of biodegradable paper sheet unrolled along the floor of the barn underneath the row of water supply stations where the biodegradable paper is colored with a color selected to be attractive to hatchlings, typically red.
OPTIMIZED WATER LINE DELIVERY OF MICROBES
Provided herein, inter alia, are compositions, methods, and kits for optimally delivering viable microorganisms (such as beneficial microbes) through a water line. The compositions are constituted in such a manner as to minimize settling of the microorganisms within the water line and to maximize the survival of the microorganisms during storage and water line transit.
Water dispenser apparatus for use by poultry
A water container for use by poultry has a container with an inlet opening and an outlet opening, a water hose connected to the inlet opening, and a nozzle affixed to the inlet opening. The inlet opening is positioned below the outlet opening. The water hose is adapted to pass fresh water into an interior of the container. The outlet opening is adapted to allow water from the interior of the container to be released outwardly of the container. The nozzle is positioned adjacent to the bottom of the container and adapted to direct an unobstructed pressurized flow of water toward the bottom of the container so as to pressure wash, clean and remove debris from the interior of the container. A nipple is affixed to the container. The nipple is adapted to allow poultry to access water from the interior of the container.
POULTRY DRINKER SYSTEM
A drinker system, comprising: a central pressure regulator configured regulate a fluid pressure to a regulated input pressure; and a plurality of pressure reducers each comprising: a high-pressure zone configured to receive the fluid from the regulator at the regulated input pressure, a low-pressure zone configured to provide the fluid to one of multiple drinker lines at a low output pressure maintained at a constant proportion to the regulated input pressure, and a moveable integral piece comprising a small diaphragm rigidly connected to a large diaphragm, wherein the small diaphragm is disposed in the high pressure zone and the large diaphragm is disposed in the low pressure zone, and wherein the constant proportion between the low output pressure and the regulated input pressure corresponds to the ratio between the surface area of the small diaphragm and the surface area of the large diaphragm.
Electronically-Controlled Water Flow Regulator System for Poultry Drinker Lines
An electrically-controlled water flow regulator for use with a poultry watering system receives potable water at a first, high flow rate and reduces the water flow rate of the water provided to watering valves that dispense water to the flock within a poultry house. A variable control valve uses a needle-shaped cone to engage a mating port inside the housing of the regulator. A motor controls the linear movement of the control valve in incremental steps to adjust the water flow rate provided to the flock. A feedback component enables the variable control valve to maintain the water flow rate at a desired set point for the flock. The desired set point for the flock is controlled or automated to match the growth of the flock over their growth cycle. An electrical controller and suitable cabling enable multiple regulators to be controlled efficiently and cost-effectively.
Freeze Resistant Watering Nipple Device
A freeze-resistant watering nipple assembly comprising a watering nipple valve, a heat pipe, a sleeve in tight thermal contact with the nipple, a water-tight connection to a liquid containing container or supply pipe, and an outer shield enclosing an insulating space and/or insulation material is described, which thermally couples a watering nipple to a container or supply pipe via a sufficiently good thermal conduction path so that the nipple can be maintained at a temperature that is near the temperature of the liquid in the container or supply pipe. Further, the use of one or more freeze-resistant watering nipple assemblies with a thermally insulated container is described so that the unit comprising the nipple assembly or assemblies and the insulated container provides drinking water to animals, and in particular, birds in sub-freezing and in hot weather.
LIQUID SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR A LIVESTOCK FARM
A liquid supply system (900) in which one or more nipples (920) and one or more sprinklers (930) are all connected to a same set of piping (111) that provides livestock consumable liquid. A nipple provides an amount of liquid responsive to an interaction by the livestock with the nipple. A sprinkler sprays or sprinkles liquid responsive to some predetermined criteria/criterion being met, so as to controllable spray/sprinkle the liquid. In this way, the same liquid is provided for consumption by the livestock as it sprayed by the sprinkler.
Modular livestock fluid dispensing apparatus and system
The present inventions relate to apparatus and systems for feeding livestock, particularly to nipple-actuated feeding stations which include a nipple insert assembly having an internal valve system actuable by a nipple and insertable into an insert assembly having a normally-closed internal valve system and connectible to a pressurized feed line. Inserting the nipple assembly into the insert assembly opens the insert assembly valve system and subsequent nipple actuation discharges fluid from the pressurized feed line. The nipple assembly may be removed from the insert assembly without depressurizing the feed line or manipulating other process conditions. A plurality of insert assembly and nipple assembly pairings may be positioned throughout one or more pressurized feed lines to form a feeding system, and the flow rates of each individual feeding station may be manually or automatically controlled.
Electronically-controlled pressure regulator system for poultry drinker lines
An electrically-controlled water pressure regulator for use with a poultry watering system receives potable water at a first high pressure level and reduces the water pressure level of the water provided to watering valves that dispense water to the flock within a poultry house. A variable control valve uses a needle-shaped cone to engage a round port inside the housing of the regulator. A stepper motor controls the liner movement of the control valve in incremental microsteps to adjust the water pressure level provided to the flock. A feedback component enables the variable control valve to maintain the water pressure level at a desired set point for the flock. The desired set point for the flock is controlled or automated to match the growth of the flock over their growth cycle. An electrical controller and suitable cabling enable multiple regulators to be controlled efficiently and cost-effectively.
