Embodiments of this disclosure include a rigid tray container and methods and equipment for using the rigid tray container in batched process operations. In one embodiment, a mass container is sized and dimensioned to receive one or several rigid tray containers. In other embodiments, equipment is configured to lid/unlid, secure, stack, load/unload, and buffer rigid tray containers. In other embodiments, equipment is configured to stack and stage mass containers. In some embodiments, methods are provided for batch processing items.

A container (10) comprising a wall arrangement (12) defining a load receiving space (16), and a support member (14) attached on the wall arrangement (12), the support member (14) being movable between a support position and a non-support position, wherein, in the support position, the support member (14) extends at least partially across the load receiving space (16), the support member having a planar portion (30) to support a further container (10) in a stacked condition on the container (10).

An expandable and collapsible lid; the expandable and collapsible lid includes a lid that has an expanded state and a collapsed state, as manipulated. The lid includes a flange having circumscribing lip that is configured for fluid-proof communication with an opening. The lid includes a plurality of concentric segments each flexibly coupled together, inner-diameter to outer-diameter, with each subsequent segment. The expandable and collapsible lid system further includes a container. The container includes the opening that when closed defines a volume of the container. The expandable and collapsible lid system is useful for modifying the volume of a container for storage.

A container (10) comprises a base (12), upstanding walls (14) on the base and a lid arrangement (16) pivotally attacked to at least one of the walls at a hinge (17). The lid arrangement is pivotally moveable about the hinge from an open position to a closed position. When the lid arrangement (16) is in the open position, the container (10) can be nested within a similar further container having a similar further lid arrangement, and the lid arrangement (16) can be received within the further lid arrangement in a nested condition of the lid arrangements.

A container and lid assembly comprises a container and a lid. The container comprises a base, and at least one container sidewall extends from the base to define and encircle an interior volume of the container and has a peripheral edge structure defining a lid engagement lip. The lid comprises a cover portion, which has a peripheral edge structure defining a container engagement channel about a perimeter thereof. The lid is releasably securable to the container by interengagement of the lid engagement lip in an interference fit within the container engagement channel. The lid engagement lip and/or the container engagement channel have at least one recessed portion so that when interengaged, the lid engagement lip to and the container engagement channel are spaced from one another at the recessed portion(s) to form at least one ventilation pathway between the interior volume of the container and ambient.

A carton for holding one or more articles includes a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the carton, the plurality of panels including a front panel, a back panel, and at least one side panel. The carton also includes a plurality of end flaps foldably connected to respective panels of the plurality of panels and forming a closed top portion of the carton, the closed top portion of the carton is reconfigurable between a first configuration having a substantially flat profile and a second configuration forming a handle of the carton. A storage bin including a box and a lid. The box includes a bottom and at least four walls extending from the bottom to an upper rim. A base system for laying on at least two standardized small load carriers, in particular Euro containers, arranged on a flat underlying surface. The base system has at least two base panels with a substantially rectangular design, and each base panel is provided around the edges with connecting recesses and connecting protrusions which alternate at least indirectly and via which the base panels can be connected together in a formfitting manner along the edges. Mutually facing sides of respective base panels are designed to complement each other, wherein each base panel is provided around the edges with connection geometries which are identically designed and which directly adjoin each other around the edges.

A plastic container (1) with two lid halves (5a, 5b) rotatable about a hinge (6a, 6b) has on the inner surface (5c) of the lid halves hooks (7) arranged in a row adjacent to and along the hinges (6a, 6b). Each hook (7) extends parallel to and spaced apart from the lid half (5a, 5b) and includes a recess having an opening facing and toward the distal end (12a, 12b) and a two-sided undercut. The undercuts allow the placement of one or more bags (8) having two straps (9) inside the container (1) such that the bags (8) are held open. When the lid halves (5a, 5b) are closed the straps (9) remain in place and held by the hooks (7). The invention may be used by shoppers shopping large amounts, which may be placed in the bags. Several containers of this kind may be stacked when their lids closed.
