Three-Dimensional Article Having Transfer Material Thereon

Three-dimensional articles having a transfer material thereon are disclosed. The articles have a surface having two or more portions that each have a radius of curvature that are at least partially separated by an intermediate portion that has a lesser radius of curvature. The transfer material may be pre-formed and transferred to the surface of the articles and may extend continuously across at least parts of the two portions and the intermediate portion. In some cases, the two or more portions and the intermediate portion are all located on the same portion or face of the article and the intermediate portion is a feature on the surface of the article. In other cases, the two or more portions are located on different portions or faces of the article, and the intermediate portion is an edge between the two or more portions.

Synthetic resin-made container, and method of manufacturing synthetic resin-made container

A synthetic resin-made container is a synthetic resin-made container that has an outer layer body and an inner layer body separably laminated on an inner surface of the outer layer body and is formed by stretch blow molding, and includes: a tubular mouth portion; a barrel portion connected to and located below the mouth portion; and a bottom portion closing a lower end of the barrel portion, wherein the outer layer body contains polyethylene terephthalate, the inner layer body contains polyethylene terephthalate, a laminate containing polyethylene terephthalate, or a blend containing polyethylene terephthalate, and has a vapor-deposited film having a gas barrier property on an inner surface thereof, and a rib that prevents the inner layer body from peeling away from the outer layer body when forming the vapor-deposited film is formed in at least one of a lower part of the barrel portion and the bottom portion.

PROTECTIVE SLEEVES FOR CONTAINERS

Aspects of the invention include a sleeve or wrap for protecting a container. In certain embodiments, the sleeve or wrap is a protective encasement for protecting a container, such as a bottle. In certain embodiments, the sleeve or wrap includes a body with a lumen, wherein the body is configured for holding and/or containing the container. For instance, in one embodiment, the protective sleeve includes a tubular body and at least a first opening in the protective body that is adapted for receiving the container. In certain embodiments, the body of the sleeve includes silicone. Accordingly, in certain embodiments, the sleeve is a protective silicone sleeve that is adapted to hold and/or contain a container, thereby protecting the container from damage (e.g., breaking). Also provided is a system for protecting a container that includes a protective sleeve, as described above, and a container that is configured for being associated, e.g., fit within, the protective sleeve.

Wine bottle with cork retainer and re-use features

A wine bottle is provided with a punt at a lower end which includes a cork retainer therein. A cork can thus be stored within the cork retainer. In one embodiment, the cork retainer includes two retainer surfaces which are opposing each other horizontally, and spaced apart by a length similar to opposing portions of the cork to allow the cork to fit tightly between these retainer surfaces. Space above the retainer surfaces can hold a foil wrap with the cork within the cork retainer and holding the foil wrap in place. Full re-use of the bottle is thus facilitated. In one embodiment, the bottle has an octagonal shape so that multiple bottles can be shipped together and placed adjacent each other with flat surfaces distributing loads therebetween, without forces concentrated at points thereof, and to keep the bottles in good shape for washing, re-filling and re-use.

Sleeve for a glass bottle

A sleeve for a glass bottle includes a first opening, a rounded shoulder below the first opening, a second opening counterposed to the first opening, a rounded shoulder above the second opening, a cylindrical body between the rounded shoulder below the first opening and the rounded shoulder above the second opening when the resides on a bottle. The sleeve is comprised of an elastomeric material and contracts at a point equidistant from the first and second openings when removed from the bottle. The sleeve contraction creates a pinch at the point equidistant from the first and second openings. The pinch is omnidirectional around the circumference of the sleeve. The diameter of the sleeve at the pinch is less than at least one of the diameter of the sleeve at the rounded shoulder below the first opening and the diameter of the sleeve at the rounded shoulder above the second opening.

EASY KEY CONTAINER LID

A lid for a container, such as a food, beverage, or storage container, may include a laterally extending lid body and a tab. The lid body may have a proximally extending protrusion and a distally extending well. The protrusion and the well may be radially aligned with one another. The tab may be fixed to the lid body. The tab may include a nose, a handle, and a medial portion that extends between the nose and the handle. The tab may be positionable such that the tab contacts the protrusion causing the handle to be lifted proximally away from the lid body relative to the handle.

Method of manufacturing a sleeve for a beverage container

A resilient sleeve for a beverage container is made from a continuous web of a fabric extending between distal and proximal ends thereof. A substantially linear base is provided at the proximal end. First and second sides extend outwardly from the opposite ends of the base. Two substantially symmetrical trapezoidal regions are formed at the distal end of the web, wherein each trapezoidal region is formed by an outer side positioned at a first predetermined angle to the first side and an inner side positioned at a second predetermined angle to a longitudinal axis of the web portion. A V-shaped cut out portion is formed at a central area of the web by the inner sides of the first and second trapezoidal regions. Width of the web portion corresponds to a circumference of the sleeve and length of the web portion corresponds to an axial length of the sleeve.

Devices and methods for extraction of a beverage from a beverage bottle, such as a wine bottle, using an extraction device. The bottle may be supported by a bottle support sleeve that surrounds all but the neck and closure at the bottle opening. The extraction device may be secured to the neck and a needle, such a pair of needles or a two-lumen needle, may be inserted through the closure to inject pressurized gas into the bottle and to remove beverage from the bottle by the needle. The support sleeve may support the bottle during beverage extraction, e.g., by compressing the bottle exterior.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING A MATERIAL ONTO ARTICLES USING A CONTINUOUS TRANSFER COMPONENT

Apparatuses and methods for applying a transfer material onto the surface of an article are disclosed, including apparatuses and methods of transfer printing on and/or decorating three-dimensional articles, as well as the articles printed and/or decorated thereby. In some cases, the apparatuses and methods involve providing a deposition device, such as a printing device; providing a transfer component; depositing a material onto a portion of the transfer component with the deposition device; modifying the portion of the transfer component with the transfer material thereon to conform the transfer component to at least a portion of the surface of the three-dimensional article; and transferring the transfer material onto the surface of the article.
