The invention provides an amorphous copolymerized polyester raw material for a film. The raw material contains ethylene terephthalate as a main constituent component, and contains from 18% by mol to 30% by mol of neopentyl glycol when a total amount of a glycol component in a total polyester resin component is taken as 100% by mol. The raw material contains from 8% by mol to 16% by mol of a constituent unit derived from diethylene glycol in the total amount (100% by mol) of the glycol component in the total polyester resin component. The raw material has an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.70 dl/g to 0.86 dl/g. The raw material has a melt viscosity of 200 Pa.Math.S or less, when measured at a shear rate of 6080/S at 250° C.
Composite preform, method for manufacturing same, composite container, method for manufacturing said composite container, and heat shrinkable plastic member
A method for manufacturing a composite preform is provided, including preparing a preform that is formed from a plastic material, preparing a tubular heat shrinkable plastic member that is longer than the preform and has a margin for thermocompression bonding at one end, inserting the preform into the plastic member having the plastic member undergo thermal shrinkage by heating the preform and the plastic member, and bonding the margin of the plastic member by thermocompression.
MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR HEAT-SHRINKABLE LABEL
Provided are a heat-shrinkable label and a package each having solvent bonded-portion where solvent penetration-through is not caused even when the film is thin. Provided are particularly a heat-shrinkable label and a package each having solvent bonded-portion gaining a high peel strength stability even when the film is passed through a tubing step made high in speed. A heat-shrinkable label has a tubular shape, in which both end portions of a heat-shrinkable polyvinyl chloride-based film or a heat-shrinkable polystyrene-based film are bonded to each other with a solvent composition. The solvent composition contains at least one organic solvent selected from the group consisting of tetrahydrofuran (THE), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and ethyl acetate, and at least one resin selected from the group consisting of polyester, polypropylene and hydrogenated petroleum resin, and the end portion bonded has a peel strength of 2 N/15 mm or more.
ADJUSTABLE CONTAINER
A container that can be adjusted in height to enable a user to more easily access and/or remove materials in the container after the material content level in the container has dropped below a certain level.
Polyester resin for heat-shrinkable film, heat-shrinkable film, heat-shrinkable label, and packaged product
The invention provides a polyester resin for heat-shrinkable film which contains terephthalic acid as a main component of a dicarboxylic acid component, contains ethylene glycol as a main component of a diol component, and contains from 18 to 32% by mol of neopentyl glycol and from 8 to 16% by mol of diethylene glycol when a total amount of the whole diol component in total polyester resin components is taken as 100% by mol. The polyester resin has an intrinsic viscosity (IV) of from 0.70 to 0.86 dl/g, a carboxyl end group concentration (AV) of from 8 to 25 eq/t, and a color b value of from 1.0 to 12.0 in an L*a*b color system. The invention also provides a heat-shrinkable film prepared from the aforementioned polyester resin, as well as a heat-shrinkable label and packaged product.
SHRINK SLEEVE LABEL
A shrink sleeve having a portion thereof that can be used for extended text or game information, or coupon, or other label information.
PET Bottle for Efficient Recycling Comprising an Easily Removable Label and a Cap without a Retainer Ring
The present invention relates to a PET bottle which increases recycling rate of PET bottles, wherein the PET bottle comprises a label that assembles the cap 20 without a retainer ring 21 on to the body 10 of the PET bottle, seals from the top of the cap 20 to the upper portion of the body 10 with the one continuous label and safety seal film 50, and has vertical parallel perforated lines 51 on one portion of the sealed label and safety seal film 50. A flap 52 extends from the end of the upper end of the perforated lines 51 to assist with tearing the label. The sealed label and safety seal film 50 covers the upper portion of the body 10 in shape of an inverted funnel, such that when it is torn along the perforated lines 51, the film 50 will be separated naturally from the bottle.
FIXING WRAP-AROUND LABELS WITH LED-CURABLE ADHESIVES
Provided herewith are methods of preparing a labeled article comprising curing an LED-curable adhesive on a film label such as a shrink film label, wherein at least portions of the LED-curable adhesive are disposed in the overlap formed between a leading edge and trailing edge of the film label. The curing can be conducted at a temperature below 70° C. and is suitable for labeling 500-720 articles per minute in a sequential manner. Also provided herewith are apparatus for labeling articles with film labels, such as shrink film labels comprising an LED station. Further, a method of retrofitting an existing hot-melt labeling system for use in labeling articles with film labels such as shrink film labels is also provided.
