A bottle container includes: a tubular inner container 2 including a cap at an upper portion thereof; and an outer container 3 mounted so as to extend along a trunk 5 and a bottom 6 of the inner container 2, the inner container 2 includes a shoulder 8 at the upper portion which is not covered with the outer container 3, an outer peripheral portion 13b of a bottom 13 of the outer container 3 is made thicker than a side wall 14 of the outer container 3, a center portion 13a of the bottom 13 of the outer container 3 is made thinner than the outer peripheral portion 13b to form a space 13c, and the outer container 3 mounted to the inner container 2 and the shoulder 8 of the inner container 2 are covered with a heat-shrinkable film 4.

Films containing foamable inks or coatings and process for separating similar density materials

The present invention is directed to films that are deposited with foamable inks or coatings. One purpose is to facilitate their separation for recycling purposes. The films are particularly useful as packaging labels. The inks/coatings are designed so that foaming is activated when the film is in the hot-wash stage of a typical recycle process. This provides added buoyancy to the film allowing it to float to the surface and be removed, thereby significantly improving the efficiency of the recycle process. A feature of the invention is that, prior to this hot wash, the inks/coatings remain substantially unfoamed and thereby do not negatively affect the aesthetics of labeled package. The foamable inks/coatings can be used with any type of film.

The invention provides a heat shrinkable polyester film which has (1) a hot-water heat shrinkage of not less than 55% and not more than 90% in a main shrinking direction of the film when dipped in hot water at 98 C.; (2) a hot-water heat shrinkage of not less than 5% and not more than 12% in a direction orthogonal to the main shrinking direction of the film when dipped in hot water at 98 C.; (3) a difference in specific heat capacity C.sub.p between at a lower and a higher temperature than Tg of not less than 0.1 J/(g.Math. C.) and not more than 0.7 J/(g.Math. C.) when a reverse heat flow is measured with a temperature modulated DSC; and (4) a tensile breaking strength of not less than 70 MPa and not more than 150 MPa in the direction orthogonal to the main shrinking direction of the film.

A casing, intended to surround at least one section of at least one container, includes at least one main strip of heat-shrinkable material having at least one preferred direction of shrinkage. The casing includes at least one complementary flap including a base attached to a main strip so as to be secured to the main strip at least at each of the longitudinal edges of the main strip, the main strip and the flap thus jointly forming a closed sleeve, and a grip tab extending the base without itself being secured to the main strip, at least said grip tab being made of a material different from that of the main strip.
