Apparatus for closing a container
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide an apparatus attachable to a container and usable to secure the container closed. The apparatus is transitionable from a nonuse configuration to a use configuration to form an (at least partially) elastic loop attached to the container and usable to circumscribe the container to secure the container closed.
Food storage bag with integrated closure device and related methods
A food storage bag may include a flexible substrate defining first and second opposing sidewalls, a closed bottom and an open top, and first and second wires extending along the first and second sidewalls of the flexible substrate. The first and second wires may each have a shape defining a series of peaks and troughs such that the opposing peaks and troughs may be twisted together to close the flexible substrate at different lengths along the first and second sidewalls.
RECLOSEABLE SIDE-GUSSETED PACKAGE
A recloseable package comprises a package body having a front package panel and a rear package panel, and a pair of inwardly extending, full-length side gussets which join the front and rear package panels. The present package further includes a recloseable fastener assembly, comprising first and second mating components, wherein the fastener assembly is joined to the rear package panel by the first mating component of the assembly. By this arrangement, the contents can be placed in the package through the open mouth, which is facilitated by the provision of full-length gussets. Thereafter, the package can be closed and sealed, by which the second mating component of the fastener assembly is joined to the front package panel in a region between the inwardly extending side gussets of the package, and to the surfaces of the side gussets adjacent the rear package panel. The package includes an upper, removable portion for accessing the fastener assembly and package contents. The removable portion defines a plurality of openings in the inwardly extending side gussets to facilitate heat-sealing of the front package panel to the rear package panel through the plurality of openings. Heat-sealing in this fashion enhances the aesthetics of the package and creates a finger-grip region at the top of each of the side gussets.
Bag Resealing Device
A bag resealing device that is reusable for use with prepackaged bags to prevent spillage and/or aid in food preservation. The reusable nature of the bag resealing device is a result of a plurality of paired adhesive strips and the plurality of perforations wherein each pair of adhesive strips can be individually exposed to allow the bag resealing device to be attached to a different prepackaged bag. The perforations enable the bag resealing device to have the used paired adhesive strips to be torn off to allow the removal of the used pair of adhesives.
LINER FOR BEVERAGE AND FOOD VESSELS
A liner for use with a fluid dispensing vessel. The liner includes a flexible pouch defining an interior region and configured to be placed in a fluid dispensing vessel. The pouch includes a top end that is partially sealed and that includes a first opening. The pouch includes a fluid passageway defined by at least two sealed boundaries and that leads from the opening to the interior region. The pouch includes a bottom end that includes a second opening. The liner includes a fluid dispensing fitment connected to the pouch and configured to be in fluid communication with interior region via the second opening. When fluid is poured into the interior region of the pouch through the opening, it can be dispensed from the pouch through the fitment.
Decorative-handled, twist-closure apparatus and method
A combination decoration and wire-reinforced twist tie is made with a grip on each end. Width is selected to be part of the presentation, and includes multiple wires providing additional stability for positioning the grips as emblems as part of the presentation. Certain embodiments place the decorative element in the geographical center or elsewhere along the strand that forms the twist tie, thereby freeing the ends to become a bow-like decoration behind the shaped image of that center decorative element.
Sack For Liquid And Pulverulent Substances Comprising A Soluble Surface Portion, Method and Use Therewith, And Use Of A Soluble Surface Portion
The present invention relates to a sack for liquid or pulverulent materials having an areal section (F) composed of a water-soluble polymer, wherein dissolution of the water-soluble polymer gives rise to an opening through which the sack can be emptied, to a sack according to the invention that contains a liquid or pulverulent material, to a method for the emptying thereof and the production thereof, and also to the use of the sack for the packing of liquid or pulverulent materials and to the use of an areal section (F) composed of a water-soluble polymer as part of a sack for liquid or pulverulent materials for the reduction of the release of unpleasant odors and/or harmful substances into the air, especially for the reduction of the release of alveoli-reaching dusts.
