A system and method for implementing a cap closure for a carbonated beverage is disclosed. According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes a cap liner having an outer lip and an inner portion. A cross-section of the outer lip includes an upper extension member and a lower extension member. The upper extension member and the lower extension member each defines an outer lip angle from about 35° to about 140°.

In an aspect, a cap liner comprises a sintered fluoropolymer layer; and a backing layer; wherein the sintered fluoropolymer layer is in direct physical contact with the backing layer with no intervening layer located there between. In another aspect, a method of forming the cap liner of comprises plasma etching the sintered fluoropolymer layer to form a sintered plasma etched layer; and laminating the sintered plasma etched layer and the backing layer to form the cap liner.

An insulating container may include an opening, which can be sealed by a closure. The closure may have an upper portion with a handle that has a circular curvature equal to the cylindrical portion of the closure. The closure may also have a lower portion that is joined to the upper portion by an injection molded polymer element. The closure may also be in the form of “flip” type of closure such that the lid can be selectably opened or closed by the user by rotating a flip closure into either the opened or closed position. A custom hair coloring container, components of the container, and method of use and doing business. In one embodiment, the container includes a container body, a hair colorant container section of the container body removably mountable to a peroxide container section of the container body, and the hair colorant container section and the peroxide container section collectively forming a cavity with an inside surface. The hair colorant container section may include a first interior seal threadedly engaged with the inside surface within the hair colorant container, and the peroxide container section may include second interior seal threadedly engaged with the inside surface within the peroxide container section.

In consumer-market containers for beverages or other contents under pressure, the cap provides a gas-tight seal by way of two mechanisms that work interdependently. The first is a pressure grip configured to grip the outside wall of the container. The second is twist threads, or some other second attachment structure, that urges the inside of the cap (or, typically, a cap liner disposed thereon) against the rim of the container. Release of pressurized gases when the container is first opened can be by way of release vents in the cap, or via the bottom of the cap through the twist thread area. In the latter case, particular configurations of the pressure grip are relied on to establish the gas escape path.

The sealing member includes first and second annular sealing faces, and further also includes a gripping member which extends away from a first side of the sealing member to engage walls of a conduit. A pull tab extends from the opposite side of the sealing member, to facilitate removal of the seal plug from a dispensing cap.
