Vent assembly and reservoirs including the same
Vent assemblies movable between a vented position and a non-vented position are described along with reservoirs in which the vent assemblies may be used. The vent assemblies each include an aperture and a closure member. The closure member is configured for movement along a cam surface to generate a compressive force such that a sealing surface on the closure member is forced against the wall of the reservoir and over the aperture such that the vent assembly is in the non-vented position. The closure member movement may be, e.g., rotational or linear (i.e., translational) when moving between the vented and unvented positions.
Low temperature coolant reservoir cap design with air gap for hybrid vehicles
A cap for a coolant reservoir that accommodates the expansion of coolant stored therein. The expanding coolant results from an increase in temperature and causes an increase in pressure to build within the coolant reservoir. The cap includes a base and a crown having an air-dome which extends upwardly therefrom. The base includes a passageway extending therethrough and in fluid communication with an interior cavity or an air gap formed in the crown. As the cap is positioned over an open neck of the coolant reservoir, by being screwed or otherwise fitted thereon, the interior cavity remains positioned above the neck. Thus, as the coolant within the coolant reservoir becomes heated and expands, the interior cavity provides additional space for the coolant to occupy and pressure to build within.
Method and apparatus for controlled transfer of fluid
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to caps, closures, seals, and containers, and control of flow of fluids. Certain embodiments can be used with fluids related to machinery, for instance, engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid. Certain embodiments of the present disclosure effectively hold and transfer a fluid or a fluid substance, further being able to open, close, and regulate fluid flow. Embodiments include a single piece tubular component that includes a cap interiorly attached to such tubular component with ribs, and a container having a tapered end. In certain embodiments, a nozzle collar having a tapered end is adapted to attach to a container.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER
A beverage container includes a first vessel, a second vessel, a cap assembly, a first conduit, and a second conduit. The first and second vessels are vertically stacked and define first and second internal cavities, respectively. The first vessel is disposed above the second vessel. A cap assembly is secured to a top of the first vessel. The cap assembly defines first, second, and third orifices. The first orifice establishes fluid communication with the first internal cavity. The first conduit establishes fluid communication between the second internal cavity and the second orifice. The second conduit establishes fluid communication between the second internal cavity and the third orifice.
Anti-rotational and removal closure
A closure for use with a container in which the closure includes a polymeric top portion and a polymeric annular skirt portion. The skirt portion depends from the top portion. The skirt portion includes exterior and interior surfaces. The interior surface of the skirt portion includes crushable ribs and anti-rotational lugs. The crushable ribs are configured to be crushed when the closure is applied to the container so as to prevent or inhibit axial movement of the closure with respect to the container by forming an interference fit. At least one of the plurality of anti-rotational lugs prevents or inhibits rotational movement of the closure with respect to the container such that the closure remains on the container.
Back-off preventing resealable adhesives
Adhesive compositions that replace gaskets and liners in sealing applications for packages that are detachable with hand force are described. The adhesive compositions are particularly useful in preventing leaks and spillage during storage and transport of its packaged contents. Advantageously, the adhesive composition provides packages with (1) a removal torque of from about 4 to about 20 in-lb and (2) resealable torque on subsequent openings of from about 2 to about 15 in-lb, measured in accordance to ASTM D2063.
Metal Closure with Low Pressure Engagement Lugs
A metal closure having multiple thread engaging lugs configured to decrease the pressure exerted by the closure lugs on the neck of a container is provided. In various embodiments, the metal closure comprises a top wall, a skirt extending downward from a peripheral edge of the top wall, a lower edge included on the skirt, and a plurality of lugs formed at the lower edge of the skirt. Pressure may be decreased by the closure having more lugs and/or larger lugs than other metal closures.
Pill container with cap
A pill container and cap for storing and dispensing medication is described. In various embodiments, the pill container comprises an outer shell having an angled corner section, a constriction within the outer shell configured to limit flow of the medication out of the container a cap to seal the container. Various additional features and component are also described.
Lubricant container
A container for collecting a lubricant including a housing having a longitudinal axial extension between a first end connectable to a source of lubricant and a longitudinally opposite second end, a cap attached to the second end, a piston slidably movable inside the housing between the first end and the second end of the housing. The cap is attached to the second end of the housing by a snap connection for blocking the axial translation between cap and the housing, the cap and the housing having respectively a first flat surface and a second flat surface contacting each other for preventing rotation of the cap around a longitudinal axis of the housing.
Container With Cap
A container having a cylindrical pouring nozzle with an external thread and with a stop; a cap with an internal thread which can be screwed onto the external thread of the pouring nozzle as far as an end position in which the cap bears in the direction of rotation on the stop of the pouring nozzle; and a seal made of a material which is softer than a material of the cap and a material of the pouring nozzle. The seal is fixedly connected to the cap and has a first sealing element which, with the cap screwed on, is arranged in a radial direction between the cap and pouring nozzle and bears on a lateral surface portion of the pouring nozzle.
