In one embodiment there is provided a closed non-refillable dispenser having a bottle configured to hold a liquid with a neck surrounding an opening for access to the liquid, and having a pump assembly fitted to the neck to manually pump liquid out of the bottle. The dispenser further having a closure cap fitted over the neck of the bottle and having a central closure opening to receive the pump assembly and a collar seated entirely over the closure cap. The collar and closure cap have corresponding engaging means configured to tighten the closure cap onto the neck when the collar is rotated clockwise and the collar being further configured to not engage the closure cap when the collar is rotated counter-clockwise, such that the closure cap is non-removably affixed to the bottle, thereby preventing the bottle from being refillable.

A closure includes a polymeric top wall portion, a polymeric annular skirt portion, and a polymeric tamper-evident band. The polymeric annular skirt portion depends from the polymeric top wall portion. The annular skirt portion includes an internal thread formation for mating engagement with an external thread formation of a container, and first and second false threads. The internal thread formation includes a first closure lead and a second closure lead. Each of the first and second closure leads is in the form of a helix. Each of the false threads is located on roughly opposing sides of the closure. The first false thread assists in maintaining the contact between the first closure lead and a first finish lead of the container. The second false thread assists in maintaining the contact between the second closure lead and a second finish lead of the container. The polymeric tamper-evident band depends from and is at least partially detachably connected to the polymeric annular skirt portion by a frangible connection.

A plastic intermediate article including a container portion and a trim portion. The container portion includes a neck portion having a plurality of threads. In embodiments, each of the plurality of threads include a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is provided at a first angle relative to a centerline of the plastic blow molded intermediate article, the second portion is provided at a second angle relative to the centerline of the plastic blow molded intermediate article, and the first angle and second angle are different. A method for making a plastic container includes providing a plastic preform, blow molding the preform into an intermediate article that includes a neck portion with a plurality of blown threads, and removing an upper portion of the intermediate article.

A cap assembly for a container has an inner sleeve that is secured to the neck of the container and an outer cap that is adjustably secured to the inner sleeve. The outer cap can be adjusted downwardly relative to the inner sleeve so that a gap between the bottom of the outer cap and a top of the container can be minimized or eliminated.

A jar for cosmetic products that includes a base surmounted by a neck and a lid, the neck having a non-circular cross-section and including a rim. The neck includes at least one first assembly element, the lid including at least one second assembly element. The lid is configured so that: (1) when the lid is in a closed position: (1a) the at least one second assembly element is arranged under the rim; and (1b) the at least one second assembly element and the at least one first assembly element are nested together, and (2) when the lid is in an open position, the at least one second assembly element is disengaged from the at least one first assembly element and the rim. The lid is configured to pass from one position to the other by rotation about the neck.

A metal closure having multiple thread engaging lugs configured to decrease the pressure exerted by the closure lugs on the neck of a container is provided. In various embodiments, the metal closure comprises a top wall, a skirt extending downward from a peripheral edge of the top wall, a lower edge included on the skirt, and a plurality of lugs formed at the lower edge of the skirt. Pressure may be decreased by the closure having more lugs and/or larger lugs than other metal closures. The closure is provided with a gasket configured to provide enhanced sealing properties when the closure is secured to a container.

A screw thread variator device, provided in an opening (3) of a package, and a cap 26, provided with a plurality of protruding cutting elements (30) on the internal face 29 of the cap element 27 thereof. Embodiments include a single piece tubular component that includes a cap interiorly attached to such tubular component with ribs, and a container having a tapered end. In certain embodiments, a nozzle collar having a tapered end is adapted to attach to a container.

A method of applying a lid (1) onto a neck (9) of a container (10), the lid (1) having a side wall (3) extending around an axis and an end wall (2) extending transversely to said axis, comprises the following steps: positioning the lid (1) onto the neck (9); exerting on the end wall (2) a force directed towards the container (10), so as to level the lid (1) on the neck (9); screwing the lid (1) onto the neck (9) by rotating the lid (1) in a screwing direction.
