Retort closure for a container

A closure includes a skirt defining an outer periphery of the closure and having an open bottom end configured to fit over the mouth of a receptacle, an end wall positioned atop the skirt to close a top end of the skirt and form a top face of the closure, one or more openings formed through the end wall, and a sealing rib formed on the top face and diametrically disposed outboard the one or more openings.

Screw cap, tool and method for screwing a cap onto a container

Screw cap, loading piston, and method for aligning the screw cap and the loading piston in relation to each other and a method for screwing a screw cap onto a threaded neck portion of a packaging container. The screw cap can include a base portion having a top and a bottom surface, an annular portion raised from the base portion, the annular portion having an inner and an outer surface, and at least one first threaded portion arranged on the inner surface of the annular portion, wherein the base portion can include engagement means, such that the screw cap can engage a tool with at least one complementary engagement means in a process of screwing the cap onto the container with the complementary threaded neck portion.

STACKABLE CONTAINER HAVING OVERHANGING CAP

A stackable container, including a body and a cap threadingly engageable with a neck portion of the body and having a vaulted interior and a top portion formed with a frustrum-shaped depression for snap-registered engagement with a base portion of a counterpart of the body, the cap further including handle projections and a skirt. Opposite stop structures prevent rotation of the cap relative to the body beyond predetermined threaded engagement; a detent releasably captures the body in the predetermined threaded engagement. A base portion of the body having inclined side walls facilitates rotation of the body with respect to the cap. The skirt guides the body into alignment with the cap. The base can have four of the side walls forming a square, the containers of a stack having any of four relative orientations. A consumable product such as a cosmetic can extend into the cap from the body.

WINCH HANDLE BOTTLE CAPS AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING
20170259964 · 2017-09-14 ·

A novel closure for bottles comprising a bottle cap having a socket that is shaped and sized to receive the drive head of a convention winch handle. The closure is particularly useful for bottled beverages brought aboard sailboats that use manually winches. The closures can be removed from the bottles using winch handles that are already aboard the sailboat, allowing the beverages to be consumed. Methods for making and using the novel closures for bottles are also described.

A CAP FOR A CONTAINER HAVING A HINGE

A cap for a container comprises: a retaining ring suitable for being associated with a neck of the container; a closing element comprising a lateral wall which extends around an axis and a transversal wall which extends transversally to the axis for defining a closed end of the closing element; a hinge structure which connects the closing element to the retaining ring, so that the closing element is displaceable between an open position and a closed position.

The closing element comprises a projection which projects from an outer surface of the lateral wall transversally to said axis, the projection extending around said axis by an angle of at least 180°.
