The invention is directed to a container having a tamper evidence collar integrally formed on the container body, wherein the tamper evidence collar comprises: an annular portion which extends circumferentially outwardly from the container body; a discontinuous skirt portion which extends vertically from the annular portion, extends substantially circumferentially about the container body; a tamper evidence tab disposed in the circumferential location of the skirt discontinuity, wherein the tab comprises: an annularly extending portion aligned with the annular portion of the collar; and a skirt portion aligned with the skirt of the collar, one or more pins that rotatably join the tab to the tamper evidence collar; and at least one frangible web which connects the tab to the tamper evidence collar prior to actuation of the tab.

To provide a synthetic resin cap of a structure that is further improved in convenience when drinking while suppressing falling or loss of the cap when a container is opened.

[Solving Means]

A synthetic resin cap as a specific example of the present invention has a tamper-evident band to be fitted on an outer peripheral surface of a container mouth portion of a container, and a cap main body having a skirt wall and a top plate, and including, in the skirt wall, a fixing rib coupled with the tamper-evident band via a weakened portion and a strap portion and extending to a radially outer side of the skirt wall. The fixing rib is formed from a first inclined portion that flares downwards, and a protrusion portion that is disposed below the first inclined portion. When the container is opened, a side surface of the container mouth portion and the protrusion portion come into contact with each other, and an upper surface of a laterally extending portion, the laterally extending portion being disposed below the container mouth portion and extending in a radial direction, and the top plate come into contact with each other, thereby maintaining a posture of the cap main body when the container is opened.

The invention includes a snap type plastic stopper having a closure shell with a roof wall and a tamper band to be secured on a bottle neck. The stopper includes a first weakness line with first bridges, where the first bridges separably link the bottom edge of the closure shell and the top edge of the tamper band; at least one hinge which extends through the first weakness line, where the hinge pivotably links the closure shell and the tamper band; and a tongue which is diametrically situated at the opposite of the hinge, where the tongue outwardly extends relative to a peripheral wall of the closure shell. The stopper also includes within the closure shell and/or tamper band at least one tamper evident feature such as a toggle.

A method for producing a cap for a container wherein the cap includes a retaining ring suitable for being associated with a neck of the container and a closure element hinged to the retaining ring for opening or closing an opening defined by the neck of the container. The method includes providing a cup-shaped body having a side wall extending about an axis and an end wall extending transversely to the axis, and cutting the side wall along a separation line for defining the retaining ring and the closure element such that during the cutting step there is interacting with the material forming the side wall along an angular extension of the side wall about the axis as to leave intact at least one connection band which connects the retaining ring to the closure element, and producing at least one delimitation line which laterally delimits the connection band.

A method for producing a cap for a container wherein the cap includes a retaining ring suitable for being associated with a neck of the container and a closure element hinged to the retaining ring for opening or closing an opening defined by the neck of the container.
