A first seal (40) is defined between the container body and the cap. The first seal includes a protrusion (42) formed on one of the container body about the opening or the cap, and a groove (44) formed on the other of the container body about the opening or the cap. The protrusion is received by the groove when the assembly is in the closed position, such that contact is maintained in a sealing relationship around the opening between the groove and the protrusion.

The base may have an extension portion extending laterally outward from a lateral side of the base and connected to the connecting portion via a folding line about which the connecting portion and the lid may be rotatable with respect to the base between the closed configuration and an open configuration. The lid may also have an extension portion extending laterally outward from a lateral side of the lid and connected to the connecting portion via a tear line. The tear line may be weakened such that the lid may be separable from the connecting portion and the base at the tear line while the connecting portion may remain intact with the base.

A latch mechanism for a child-resistant storage case has a seal bead between the lid and body of the storage case. The latch mechanism includes a latch tab extending downward from the lid that must be simultaneously pivoted inward and pressed upward to release the lid. The latch tab acts as a lever arm to locally deform the adjacent portions of the lid and seal, and thereby more easily release the seal when the latch tab is pressed upward.

The transfer subassembly is coupled to the housing and disposed at least partially within the inner area. The transfer subassembly includes a vacuum suction cup. The vacuum suction cup is configured to operatively engage a first box of the plurality of boxes to remove the first box from the stack and pivot the first box about a rotational axis to a surface outside of the inner area.

The present disclosure relates to metalized hinge caps and/or the manufacturing thereof. One or more embodiment described herein includes a method of manufacturing a metalized hinge cap. The method can comprise applying a metallization process to a hinge cap to deposit a metal film onto a cap top, cap base, and hinge of the hinge cap. The he hinge can be integral with a first sidewall of the cap top. Further, the hinge can be integral with a second sidewall of the cap base. Also, the method can comprise removing the metal film from at least a portion of hinge via an ablation of the metal film.

Caps for catheter packages

A package for a medical device such as an intermittent catheter has a case which is closed at one end and open at the other end. A cap is connected to the case by a hinge to permit selectable movement of the cap between an open position, wherein access is provided to the open end of the case, and a closed position, wherein the cap prevents access to the open end of the case. A seal is connected to one of the cap and case. The seal is engageable with the other of the cap and case when the cap is closed to form a barrier that maintains a sterile environment inside the package. The seal can be repeatedly made and broken whenever the user closes or opens the cap, respectively. One of the case and cap has a latch and the other has a receptacle for receiving the latch to releasably retain the cap in a closed position. The latches fit into the receptacle to prevent lateral forces from distorting the cap when the cap is closed. A locking slide may be used to lock the cap to the case.

The cap (4) configured to be mounted on the container body (2) comprises a cap body (15) formed with a liquid path (24) and a gas path (25) therein, wherein the liquid path (24) is configured for liquid to go through from the container (1) and the gas path (25) is configured for gas to go through to balance pressures inside and outside the container (1), and a top plate (16); characterized in that the top plate (16) is detachably connected with the cap body (15) to seal the liquid path (24) and the gas path (25).

TAMPER EVIDENT CONTAINER

A tamper evident container includes a tray portion having a base, a sidewall extending upwardly from a perimeter of the base, and a lid portion having an open position and a closed position. The lid portion may be configured to lockingly engage the tray portion in the closed position. A first hinge may be connected to lid portion and tray portion for rotation of the lid portion relative to the tray portion. A tamper evident closure may also be provided having an open position and a locked position, wherein in the locked position the tamper evident closure connects the tray portion and the lid portion when the lid portion in the closed position. A line of weakness is provided in the tamper evident closure which, when broken after the tamper evident closure is in the locked position, permits the lid portion to be moved from the closed position to the open position.
