Child-resistant closure system
The invention relates to child-resistant closure systems including a container, closure, and a resilient deformable liner positioned therebetween. The container and closure include mechanisms for engaging each other when the closure system adopts a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, the liner adopts a moderately non-flat profile and covers a mouth of the container. The closure can include a deflection rib and a highly curved top panel; when a pushing movement of sufficient force is applied to the closure, the closure system transitions from the locked configuration to an unlocked configuration. At this time, the deflection rib deforms a central portion of the liner, and the highly curved portion of the top panel engages the mouth of the container; this action can cause an outer portion of the liner to contact the highly curved portion and transition to a highly curved profile mimicking the profile of the top panel.
System and method for monitoring pill container activity
A cap for a medication container includes a housing with a top portion and a bottom portion. The top and bottom portions together define a cavity therebetween. A sliding plate is disposed in the cavity adjacent the bottom portion. A microcontroller with a contact sensor is disposed in the cavity between the top portion and the sliding plate. The sliding plate is configured to slide toward and activate the contact sensor where the cap is secured to the medication container in a closed state. The sliding plate is also configured to slide away from and not activate the contact sensor where the cap is removed from the medication container in an open state.
Child-resistant container
Various embodiments of containers are described having a body with a base and sidewall that defines a hollow interior portion of the body. A separable band can be affixed to the body to provide an attachment mechanism for a cap to be coupled with the body. An insert can be disposed between the body and cap to provide a liquid-tight and air-tight seal when the cap is coupled with the body. Preferably, the insert is dual layer with a layer of foam that compresses when the cap is coupled with the body.
Closure
An improved closure adapted for use with a suitably configured dispensing container the closure comprising as parts of a single sidewall; a compressible main body part having a sidewall having disposed thereon and/or formed within one or more gripping means, a set of mating threads upon the interior of the sidewall, and a base edge, a distensible base skirt part which depends from the main body part by connecting cowling sections, the base skirt part comprising sidewall rim regions which are connected to the cowling sections but separated from the main body part by arcuate perforations in the region between the cowling sections and a base edge of the main body part, and further a catch pawl present within the cowling section. The closure provides for controlled removal of the closure from the dispensing container.
TRAY FOR GELATIN-BASED FOOD PRODUCT
The embodiments disclose a tray method and devices including a method including creating a half-cylindrical tray with anti-slide features on an interior surface and a flexible pull tab at one end of the half-cylindrical tray, forming a child proof bottle with child proof bottle security tabs wherein the tray can be inserted, forming a child proof cap with child proof cap security tabs corresponding to the child proof bottle security tabs for securing the child proof cap to the child proof bottle, and wherein storing gelatin edible wafers in the tray includes gelatin edible candies and gelatin wafer products with infused medicinal ingredients.
CHILD-RESISTANT CAP
A child-resistant closure for a container includes an inner cap retained in an outer cap, the outer cap being rotatable with respect to the inner cap; the inner cap having a gripping surface on a circumferential sidewall; the outer cap having a circumferential lateral wall defining at least one elongate cutout that exposes the gripping surface, the cutouts providing adequate contact area between a typical thumb and/or fingers of an adult and the exposed gripping surface to allow removal of the closure from a container, and inadequate contact area between a typical thumb, finger and/or hand of a child to allow removal of the closure.
