Food containers adapted for accommodating pressure changes using skip seals and methods of manufacture

A food container is disclosed that is adapted for facilitating venting of gasses to and/or from the interior of a body of the food container. The food container includes a container body, a lid and a sealing membrane. At least one skip seal or gap is formed between the sealing membrane and the container body to facilitate venting. During formation of the at least one skip seal a recess in either the lid or rim of the container reduces pressure at the skip seal to reduce or eliminate inadvertent closing of the skip seal. Methods of manufacture of the food container are also disclosed.

Container for holding batteries or cells

A container includes a body having a top and a bottom, with a plurality of receptacles defined within the body and configured to receive an electrochemical cell or battery therein, with each receptacle having an open first end located at the top of the body. The body further includes internal walls separating the receptacles laterally from each other. A cover is removably positioned to cover the top of the body, such that the cover and the body together define a plurality of sides extending between a top wall of the cover and the bottom of the body. A head space is defined beneath an underside of the cover and above the first ends of the receptacles. A vent extends through a first side, and the vent is in communication with the head space to permit gases within the head space to exit.

A container is disclosed herein. The container includes a base and a lid, with the lid being movable between an open position and a closed position. The lid includes a first resealing feature defined by an inner lip and a second resealing feature defined by an outer lip. The resealing features are configured to connect when the lid is in moved into the closed position and disconnect when the lid is moved into the open position. Thus, the lid is releasably held to the base when the lid is closed. The lid incorporates a film layer for reducing waste and weight. The film layer is situated and sized to define a vent into the interior of the base to allow any products disclosed therein to be vented and non-airtight.
