20190241326 · 2019-08-08 ·

The present utility model relates to a structural arrangement for a bottle cap, belonging to the technical field of packaging accessories in general, more particularly to a cap for beverage bottles, such as beer, water, soft drinks, or any other drink or product for which the bottle is used as a packaging container, producing convenient, safe and functional results which are very advantageous. The innovation comprises a cap (10) to which an opening device (30) is coupled by a clip in the central top part. The cap (10) has a breaking zone (101) and a central hole (102) for coupling the clip (20) which links the cap (10) to the cross-shaped opening device (30) which forms four levers (302) with protruding projections (303) on the top surface and with a piercing point/tooth (304) on the underside of each lever (302), which pierces the breaking zone (101), allowing the inner pressure to escape and thus making it easier to remove the cap (10) with the lever formed at the opposite end.

A closure includes an overcap having an annular skirt, and an annular wall extending inwardly from the skirt. A lid is carried by the overcap radially within the annular skirt, and includes a hub, and an annular margin extending radially outwardly with respect to the hub, and having upper and lower surfaces. An annular container seal extends circumferentially continuously around the annular margin. One or more vents may extend through the annular margin between the upper and lower surfaces thereof at one or more discrete circumferential locations radially inward with respect to the container seal. One or more vent seals may be disposed at the one or more vents between the lid and the overcap.

A beverage can end includes a filling port in the end itself. An activating gas that interacts with the beverage may be charged through the filling port. If the end has a vent opening, such as sometimes used in a recloseable end, the vent opening may be used for charging the activating gas.

RECLOSABLE LID FOR A FOOD OR BEVERAGE CONTAINER AND HAVING A VACUUM OR PRESSURE RELEASE BUTTON
20180339819 · 2018-11-29 ·

A sheet metal lid has a rim portion removably secured to a container and includes a vent button having a top wall portion surrounded by a side wall portion and an outwardly projecting flange portion. A portion of the button has an arcuate shear line extending substantially into or through the sheet metal, and the sheet metal is flattened or compressed at the shear line to form positively connected opposing sheet metal portions. A resilient sealant material is bonded to the inner surface of the vent button, and the opposing sheet metal portions and the sealant material form a small gap for releasing a vacuum or pressure from the container in response to downward pressure on the top wall portion of the vent button.

A sheet metal lid has a rim portion removably secured and sealed to a container and the lid includes a vent button having a top wall portion surrounded by a side wall portion and an outwardly projecting flange portion. The flange portion of the button has a short arcuate score or shear line extending substantially into the sheet metal, and additional score lines extend into the flange portion at lesser depths to protect a coating on the inner surface of the lid. A resilient sealant material may be bonded to the inner surface of the vent button, and the opposing sheet metal portions of the score line form a small gap for releasing a vacuum or pressure from the container in response to a controlled downward pressure on the top wall portion of the vent button.
