Freshness preserving food container

A container for preserving the freshness of a stored food product is disclosed. The container has a receptacle with a piston and seal arrangement that creates a variable volume for food storage. A vent and seal arrangement allows for the removal of air as the piston is moved within the receptacle to reduce the volume within. A removable engaging member pushes the piston upward in order to reduce the inner volume of the container as the food stored in the container is consumed. This reduction in space and associated removal of air inhibit the oxidation and spoilage of many popular foods such as guacamole. With the engaging member removed, the container is also useful for serving the stored food product.

Nested fluid dispensing system

A liquid dispensing container assembly comprises an internal container attachable to an outer container, and allows a user to selectively dispense multiple liquids from the container assembly. The internal container includes a head that is securable to an orifice of the outer container and defines a container opening that is fluidly coupled to an interior portion of the outer container, and includes a reservoir opening that is fluidly coupled to a reservoir defined by an elongate body of the inner container. The elongate body is coupled to the head and nested within the outer container while the head is coupled at the orifice. A liquid is dispensable from the reservoir via the reservoir opening, while another liquid is dispensable from the interior portion of the container via the container opening. The first and second liquids may be dispensed individually or simultaneously from the fluid dispensing system.

Beverage container closure

A beverage container closure or lid that is adapted for closing an open end of a beverage container. The lid is selectively couplable to the beverage container and includes a selectively openable stopper that when closed, creates a fluid-tight seal between the beverage container and the environment. The stopper may be selectively opened by a user by the user pressing a button disposed on a side of the beverage container closure. The stopper is subsequently automatically closed when the user releases the button. Thus, a user may open and close the beverage container closure using a single hand without the need to remove the beverage container closure from the beverage container.

Transfer Cap

A cap, a method of using a cap, and a system for using the cap. The cap is capable of being fitted to a bottle. The cap includes a transfer port; and a vent port. The vent port includes a membrane and a valve.

Carbonated beverage closure

A threaded closure comprises a vent assembly that can be actuated to release pressure from a container on which the closure is located. The vent assembly is made from a flexible material that allows a vent to be uncovered by tearing the material. In one embodiment, the vent assembly allows pressure to be released form a container prior to removal of the closure.

ONE-HANDED CLOSURE FOR PRESSURIZED HEADSPACE BEVERAGES

A pressurised headspace beverage closure 1 that may be opened and reclosed in at least substantially a one-handed manner; comprising a drinking aperture, at least one headspace pressure lock mechanism 5, at least one controlled-rate headspace pressure equalisation valve arrangement 6 and a sealing system 7 suitable for multiple re-use, and whereby when the headspace pressure 10 is at least substantially above or below atmospheric pressure the headspace pressure lock mechanism 5 may employ the use of the headspace pressure 10 itself to ensure that the closure cannot freely be opened by a user, whereby the headspace pressure equalisation valve arrangement 6 may freely enable the headspace pressure 10 to be vented such that it may at least substantially equalise with atmospheric pressure at a pre-set and controlled rate preferably independent of a user thereby allowing safe and controlled venting of the headspace pressure 10, and whereby once the headspace pressure 10 has at least substantially equalised with atmospheric pressure the headspace pressure interlock system 5 may release its headspace pressure lock sufficiently to enable the one-handed closure to be fully and freely opened and reclosed as required.

Ventable storage container and method of use

A storage container for food and other items and a method of venting a storage container. The storage container may include a container body and a removable lid. The removable lid may include a flexible sealing lip that traverses the perimeter of a rigid central cover portion. At least one venting aperture may extend through the rigid central cover portion. Additionally, the storage container may include a latch moveable between a latched position and an unlatched position. The latch may include a gripping portion configured to grip a peripheral rim of the container body and a sealing portion configured to cover the venting aperture when the latch occupies the latched position. When the latch occupies the unlatched position, the sealing portion may uncover the venting aperture to permit venting of steam and other gases from within the storage container.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for a multisensory examination jar for botanical specimens. Embodiments of the disclosed jar may have a body portion with an integrated LED array for illuminating the contents of the jar. The jar may have a removable lid with an integrated magnifying lens, and an opening or port to enable a user to smell the contents of the jar. The opening may have a removable plug to establish a substantially air tight seal on the lid of the jar, to trap odors within the jar. The removable plug can be selectively removed to enable the user to smell the contents of the jar. The jar may have an electronics module and power source operable for wireless charging. The jar may also be configured to interface with a charging dock or base for wireless charging of integrated batteries.

A method of displaying a botanical in a display jar has a jar lid having an open and a closed position. The jar lid includes a mechanism that is biased toward the closed position. The jar lid has at least on vent on a side. The user depresses a center cap on top of the jar lid from the closed position to the open position. The vent is opened and aroma from inside the jar is released from the jar through the vent. The user then releases the center cap so that the lid returns to the closed position and the aroma is sealed within the jar until the vent is opened again.
