The present invention features a portable food container with lockable top cover. The portable food container comprises a base and a top cover. The top cover is lockable via a combination dial with at least two numbers. The top cover is attached to the base via a separable hinge such that the top cover can be removed from the base when the top cover is unlocked. The base and the top cover are engaged together via a thread means, or a hinge lock.

A protection container for remote controls includes a magnetic-proof container having a room defined therein. A first flange extends upward from the top opening of the container and two paths defined in outside of the first flange. Two holes each are defined through the first flange and located between two respective ends of the two paths. A magnetic-proof cover is removably mounted to the top opening of the container 1 and includes a second flange and a protrusion on the underside thereof. A groove is defined between the second flange and the protrusion. A lock unit is located in the protrusion and accessed from the cover so as to control two insertions to retractably engage with the two holes when the cover is mounted to the container. Apparatus and methods for selectively providing or preventing access to areas, enclosed spaces or volumes, or for controlling the position of a pivot or hinge assembly. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a selectively actuated or actuate-able hinge which is controlled at least in part by a shaped memory alloy (SMA) filament or filaments. Application of electrical current to the filament causes changes in the physical properties thereof, thereby allowing ratcheted rotation of a portion of the hinge relative to other portions. In one variant, the hinge can be remotely operated, such as via wireless or wireline communication with a remote entity such as a computer or smartphone.

A secured container for securely storing a user's food items includes a shell that defines an internal space. The shell has a top that is open. A lid is hingedly coupled to the shell. The lid is lockably couplable to the shell to secure items, such as food, that are positioned in the internal space. A plurality of slits that is positioned through the lid is configured to vent the internal space. A pair of panels is coupled to the front of the shell to define a pair of slots. The panels are substantially transparent. The slots are configured to insert labels, such as a label that has a name of a user and a label that dates the items.

The locking lid is provided at the top portion thereof with a combination lock. The combination lock having a plurality of wheels and projections being aligned with numbers on the top of the container. The combination lock is provided with a left side lock bolt and a right side lock bolt and engageable locking cases on both sides preventing the food storage container from opening. The food storage container is preferably formed from dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe materials. The combination lock of the present invention can be formed from a metal, glass or plastic material.
