Glass interleaving paper

Provided is a glass interleaving paper capable of suppressing scratches on surfaces of glass plates in a manufacturing process or a distribution process for storing and transporting a plurality of stacked glass plates. The glass interleaving paper is characterized in that a main component is cellulose pulp, a basis weight is 10 to 100 g/m.sup.2, and content of mineral having a Mohs hardness of at least 5 is 400 ppm or less. When the mineral having a Mohs hardness of at least 5 is a silicate mineral, the glass interleaving paper is more useful.

Provided are a building board package suitable to suppress generation of a gloss that could be caused as a result of pressing a coating film on the surface of a building board, and a method for manufacturing the building board package. A building board package X1 according to the present invention includes a first building board 10, and a packing sheet 20 stacked on top of the first building board 10. The first building board 10 has a first surface 11 on the packing sheet 20 side, and a second surface 12 opposite the first surface 11. The first surface 11 includes a first coating film surface 11A. The packing sheet 20 has a third surface 21 on the first building board 10 side, and a fourth surface 22 opposite the third surface 21. The third surface 21 is in contact with the first coating film surface 11A. An absolute value of a difference between a 60-degree gloss value of the first coating film surface 11A and a 60-degree gloss value of the third surface 21 is 3.0 or less, and an absolute value of a difference between an 85-degree gloss value of the first coating film surface 11A and an 85-degree gloss value of the third surface 21 is 3.0 or less. A method for manufacturing a building board package according to the present invention includes the step of stacking the first building board 10 and the packing sheet 20 on top of each other such that the first coating film surface 11A and the third surface 21 are in contact with each other.

SYSTEM FOR HANDLING SEPARATION LAYERS IN A PRODUCTION PROCESS

A system for handling separation layers in a production process includes at least one separation layer and a handling apparatus. The handling apparatus is preferably a vacuum gripper and is provided to move the separation layer. The separation layer has at least one slot which facilitates bending of the separation layer during lifting of the layer by the handling apparatus, such bending releasing the separation layer being lifted from another separation layer located in a stack of separation layers beneath the lifted layer.

Packages and methods of packaging glass sheets

Packages and methods of packaging a plurality of glass sheets provide a stack of glass sheets with an interleaf protective sheet positioned between each adjacent pair of glass sheets. An outer portion of each interleaf protective sheet is bent over a portion of the peripheral edge of one of a corresponding adjacent pair of glass sheets to discourage relative shifting of the glass sheets with respect to one another. The stack of glass sheets are sandwiched between pressure members of an outer housing such that the pressure members each apply a support pressure that is distributed over an outer surface of a corresponding one of the pair of outermost glass sheets of the stack of glass sheets.
